If he does it will just give the people who drop to masters for states a better excuse as to why other than I want that sweet azz medal.

He likes to win and doesn't care if he has to be a sandbagging douchebag to do it. So you be nice to him or you will hurt his feelings while he shows off for his family. Wanker.

Will someone please offer a real reason why Brad White is a douche for racing this weekend? He's a pro on the road, sure, but does that really make him a douche for competing in local cross races as cross training. Hell, he wears a jersey that's supporting his wife's local business. What's the big deal?

He's not just a pro on the road. He's consistently taken top 10 results at UCI races this year, with the likes of JPOW, Trebon, Driscoll, Berden etc. He's a PRO. As in gets paid to ride his bike. If you're good enough to be paid to ride your bike, dont show up at an amateur level race, wax all the working joes by 2+ minutes, soak up a state championship then call it 'cross training.' If you wanna come out and kill everybody at kisscross, fine. But I can name a hell of a lotta guys that have been working their ass off all year for this race. How shitty will it be to have a pro show up and erase all that work? To be honest, I doubt he would show this weekend. He knows he would win. Everyone knows he would win. Once you have arrived at the level he has, MOST pros realize competing in a race like this is kind of a shit thing to do. I think he has more respect for other racers then to take that away from them.

sounds very similar to the DC effect. he's like a Michigan master bully beating up on all the other guys. but that's OK right? he should just get the medal when gets to a tailwind race. and save the energy.

    your all jack-offs

You can't approve BW showing up and dislike DC racing masters all in one breath. There is a big difference between the pros you mentioned and the pro we are talking about. One bangs his head in Euro breaks, the other is back to tweeting on the amateur team.

4:01, you're an idiot. I'm sorry you've never been in contention to place well at a cycling event. Maybe you should put in a little more effort next year and you may have a taste of what the 9-5ers would feel like racing against a guy who has nothing to do all day but ride his bike. Try dropping the anger. Not only does it make you ride slow, it also seems to affect your vocabulary and grammar.

your funny. so all the local 1/2 guys. want me to name names? (i was one )that raced the Milford state championship crit shoulda protested that the NRC pros came and took our precious prize money? its bike racing MAYBE you should train harder and stop using the 9/5 excuse for lowly results.

ok. your right. i have zero accomplishments. your such a naive fool.

race your bike. doesn't the entry say at most races (road) pro 1/2?

seems like a few locals cracked the top 10 a Milford that day wonder if refused the money because they weren't pro's

I didn't hear anyone defend DC I did hear a call to paint the ringer in the elite field with the same brush. Masters is age graded, DC is old. A crit with multiple pros is a different animal than one pro in the strong man contest that is CX. TMS(the blog) seems to love the grit and difficulty of this discipline, why take away the suspense by advocating a single pro. Bring me 5 pros to fight for the win and bragging rights for first amateur and this is a different story. Maybe we discuss if Das German, Paramchicken, Roadking, or the Pony can slip and slide onto the podium with the pros. As is it is one pro taking away the honor that those riders want to fight for. The Pony races Masters at USGP shouldn't that indicate the skill of The Ringer, and the mockery of this competition his presence would make of it?

The funny thing is that the German, Road Kill, Pony, Ace, Parma, etc aren't complaining. Just the guys that won't even have to race against the "Pros". Thanks for "having their back". I'm sure that they're grateful for your blog support. Maybe you can help them breath a little easier during the race as well. Now back to the late night beers for bravery.
