if your rolling to your local crit in your BMW or Tesla there is probably no good reason for the name tag on the bike. If you are arriving to the race in your team sprinter packed in like sardines with 8 bikes and 16 sets of wheels well then some cool looking name tags on the bikes and wheels is a damn good idea!

Let's not get too crazy over name stickers. What if you still have a bunch of name stickers left over from when you used to be on a legit pro team, and now you drive a bmw? May not be the case for eveyone, but it is for me. And who cares anyways. Stickers are $10. Yet we don't call anybody pretentious when they are rolling around on $5k-$10k pro level bikes(and we shouldn't). If you want road racing to thrive again, maybe you should all take a look at yourselves and wonder why nobody wants to ride with you.
