Try riding at the front with him at a 'cross race from September until Iceman! He's definitely part of The Scene. Let's not be narrow, The Michigan Scene is all things related to Michigan. I don't care if its MTB or even Track. We're all Sceners who love to ride bikes. I don't care what kind of bike that guy rides, he deserves good pub.
THE BELLS CREW ARE GOOD PEOPLE WHO SUPPORT RACING ON MULTIPLE FRONTS. MTB MAINLY, ROAD EH? SIMONSTER WILL REAR HIS HEAD AT TIMES ON THE ROAD WHICH ALWAYS SENDS A RIPPLE THROUGH THE USUAL SUSPECTS... MTB IN TMS FUTURE? WHO KNOWS?
Ask Jeff W, Mike W, John C, Tom A.and a long list of roadie/cx racers where they got their start in bicycle racing ------ MTB races is the best answer. Jeff W. get back out there, the dirt is calling you like a long lost friend.
MTB racing has a long season, try racing from April - November and throw in CX till December. 4 months to build up for the new season, thats how the Bells Team rolls with a sixer in tow.
We would like to thank the TMS for keeping the fun in cycling and bringing a little place on the net to check out what is happening with in our state as far as BIKE racing...... Keep up the great job !
in respone to the Bells comment, no disrespect to Tom Archer, but when was he ever a cross contender? top 5-8 ok.I think leaving Foshag out was a mis justice, check the results goin back to late 90's, yea he to cut his teeth on the mtb's.oh no. the bmx thing as well, that dude has been racing scince the early 80's. i to want to commend tms for keepin stuff light hearted. keep it up ilove checkin it out

ReplyDeleteIt's a just funning.
ReplyDeleteI know, who everybody is on the scene.
I would hardly consider Simonson a part of the road or CX scene. Does this mean TMS will start covering MTB?

ReplyDeleteNo Tom didn't race cross that much, hence the "roadie" and Foshag wasn't missed just not listed. He knows that he rocks.
