ReplyDeleteI will give props to Frankenmuth - looks like they will have their biggest fields ever. Both Cat 5 fields are CLOSED!
It will be a tough day with temps in the 90F's. Throw in wind and a few scattered T-storms and it could be EPIC.
I've always wanted to check out the Iowa races, that's what the race life is about, travelin and seeing new places, but for sure the racing in F-muth is going to be very competitive. There will be some major hurt in all the fields.

ReplyDeleteThe Scene was well represented last year. Mac Daddy B was 4th in the RR. DG was 8th in Snake Alley Crit.
Greg "The Calf" 13th and the other calf brother 16th in Quad Cites Crit.
The scene is strong and can't just play in the back yard pond.

ReplyDeleteAny time a race pays 25 deep, then you should know that it's very difficult. Which experience should let you know that 34th then isn't such a bad ride out of nearly 100 racers.
Of course the key word is..."experience".
The guys that are going to Iowa obviously are still trying to improve and the riders choosing F-muth are most likely satisfied where they are and will be.
Neither wrong, just different points in their racing.
