"Everybody wants to know what I’m on. What am I on? I’m on my bike, busting my ass six hours a day"

Normally folks as shocking as it may seem i try to keep my mouth shut on subjects, people and places i no little about...but over the many years of reign one has to be a fools fool, not see any of this coming...quite honestly i have no opinion one way or the other about anyone of those human beings and there going ons..I know i may take alotta heat from this..but like in history..if you can see past the silly sport of cycling and all its fluff and money..there was good inside all this so-called evil human..what the hell T? ..in my meaningless opinion..maybe the decade of denial and lies...gave days, months and years to those that only dreamed of being as strong as Zeus..maybe those feelings hopes and dreams kept them around for another birthday, another grandchild's first day of school, another sunrise... another wedding and another day to watch there children play...i dunno i aint saying lying, cheating and stealing is right....but in scope of the world its just riding a bike...

hate on T all you want..cause in the TAO of Chuck
I’ve had so many knives stuck into me, when they hand me a flower I can’t quite make out what it is. It takes time.

think about it before your next status update.

History is written by the winners of wars, not the entire cast of characters who play on the stage before it's over. The records are pasteurized and the characters made to surrender are demonized. What's lost during this processing and distillation is the gray area of the present choices we make. That strange two tone place we all find ourselves: somewhere between right and wrong. If the choice we take leads to success, the choice was ultimately the right one. If we end in failure or flames, the choice is deemed immoral or wrong. Sometimes even the history of the past can be re written when the world you lived in turns upside down. At this point you're doomed and the mob will judge you. All you've made, all you've thought was right...it's all just wrong now. There isn't anything you can do. You're screwed. So take a second to put yourself in the hated persons shoes and remember that gray moment before you took the first step on the journey to failure. We've all done it...but it takes real and meaningful thought to accept that we've all made those mistakes before. Some of us just build careers and lives on them. Others just watch and cheer, until the world turns up side down, then we jeer.

we give everything it’s own purpose & meaning beyond it’s plain & simple truth & logic
which is why we constantly contradict ourselves cos we don’t set ourselves up to do anything else

This is the delusion of many amateur riders I know who take PEDs.
They think they are not cheating, but that the PEDs are somehow magically
unlocking their true potential, a very little talked-about side-effect of riders who win races while doped.

  22. Anonymous8:58 AM

What about riders on T to boost their performance, this should be talked about.

    ReplyDelete

  26. Anonymous10:10 AM

IN MICHIGAN? honestly? with no disrespect the masters field with the exception of maybe two riders (that normally race 1/2) is not too hard. if our local masters riders ever went to nationals they would get creamed. probably i suppose by other dopers.

    maybe your right

  27. Anonymous10:17 AM

Another little talked sbout side effect is being a boastful asshole

    ReplyDelete
  28. Anonymous10:23 AM

Is it when you speak your opinion or give the honest truth it is often confused by overly sensitive people as being an asshole?

why do people hate hearing the truth? but dislike liars so much?

If a non-bike racer came to this place and read the posts and comments, they'd conclude that we're as fucked-up as they already think we are. And they're mostly right. What a bunch of idiots who worry so much about what other people do or say in this insignificant little subculture. To everyone else, we're just roadblocks in spandex.

i agree, i know people that come here, (that have no interest or are not cyclist in general) the express they like the content IE banter and T babble but are completely in awe in the comments. go figure

    ReplyDelete
  33. Anonymous2:14 PM

Cuz there's alot of T happening!
Go to any high school or gym and there is alot of dope going on. why is this local scene any different? Ton of steroids in school athletics, so we are to believe that it stops in the local cycling scene....give me a break, it's worse.

I'm not sure most people appreciate the realities of drug use. No one really dopes in MI at any level worth caring about. If USADA or USAC start turning up for piss tests at amateur races they'll only catch pot smokers and people who don't know how to even fill out the drug exception forms. Having raced with those who have been caught red handed I can tell you, when they throw down you know it. Imagine a regionally stacked break away of 18 riders being dropped by a single rider. TT power houses go to the front and still get outright dropped. That's the kind of boost we're talking about here.

Doping doesn't turn everyone pro, it just makes
you better then you naturally could be. I could be doped
to the gills and wouldn't be winning cat 1 road races
so in that case nobody should care, but I would be
    faster then I am now.

I know that he is what he is, but for the sake of remembering that he's not Satan, but but a weak link in a bad system...

“Like I said: you live by the sword, you die by it. You choose your battles in life. And when you’re riding with a big sword you’re going to die by it,” Holm, an Omega Pharma-Quick Step director sportif, said of Armstrong earlier this month.

But there’s something else on Holm’s mind when it comes to the former world champion.

“I remember back in 2004, I was diagnosed with bowel cancer. It was very nasty. I was going to die from it. Had less than 50/50 to survive that shit you know?” he said. “One thing I remember very clearly was when it was in the public in February of 2004, right when it became public, one of the first guys to call me … was Lance Armstrong. Later, he was e-mailing me. He said if we were struggling he would take care of my treatment… he really made the effort to help me. Trying to support me. Somehow, it helped me in my head. It really helped me.”

Later that year he called Holm, sent him a yellow bracelet and invited him the to the Tour — a race Holm himself finished seven times.

Asked if it’s been too easy to make Armstrong into a bad guy these days, Holm isn’t so sure.

“I wouldn’t’ touch on that. I just keep in mind, especially for me, that he did something good also. And that’s when I was very much on my knees,” he said. “I mean. He did something good also, huh? Like I said, he did what he did, he paid the price. That’s life. He did something for people with cancer. He did something for me.”

Just sayin' that he didn't have too, had no reason too and would have made no money from.
