According to Jef D’Hont, the Telekom
trainer, the Dane takes double doses of EPO
4000 every day during the Tour. He also takes
growth hormone and cortisone . He admits to
Tyler Hamilton that he rounded out his treatment
    with three blood transfusions, helping
him add 3 % to his hematocrit . It climbs to
60 % and as high as 64%. On the Hautacam
climb, Riis stuns the peloton with his 479
    watts and day-in-the-park attitude.

Nah, he just took off 30lbs, like Lance did and could climb a lot better to win the tour. LOL

Yah, they did. I would assume, with the massive amounts of red blood cells being sent into the body, you wouldn't have to worry about huge amounts of caloric intake? It's already in your system. Little easier to stay on a diet and be a stick. LOL. Sign me up, please.
I got a club ride in a few days. LOL.
