Looks like its going to be a great course for round one the Michiganscene fantasy race series..the course has been laid out all roads look like to be picture perfect chip-seal pothole and of course road-kill infested Michigan norm...
The gravel road stage takes place in around the Stoney creek metro park area using closely the once nearly made it course of the Rhonde-Van Stoney fall classic..its a great course 65 miles with a mix of dirt, and pavement..the trolley paths are a awesome edition..using them twice..look for those to be the selection maker early on and later in the race..One change from the old course once the riders enter the Stony Creek metro park for the finish they will complete one lap around the lake dodging up-tight assholes in SUVs and finish on the grass and then finally on the beach.
Bikes provided by Giant bicycles..since there is a big chubby for a specific gravel bikes now a days... Giant has graciously donated a pile of there dirt road loving Anyroad Comax model... The Anyroad..is not your normal gravel bike..the long wheel base makes it more like a touring bike than a fast flat road bike made for dirt..although T thinks they missed the mark on this bike in not just design but looks..cuz gawd awful that bike is a ugly piece of..sales have been so soft..so its not surprising they are willing to donate this beast to us...In a controlled area all riders will be allowed 15 minutes to adjust bikes to there specification with only changes being made will be stem length and pedals..
