Rider A:
Background,
established USAC license holder, after numerous years of pedaling to a wind trainer without much of a plan and stumbling around outside in the cold all winter this guy invests in any number of smart trainers and hooks up to the virtual world...makes going to the inside world much easier. By springtime although his results are not setting the world afire his hours and miles are up and arrives on the scene with fitness gains greater than previous seasons, and is super motivated to get further into the season..
Rider B:
Background
The former runner turned triathlete..who is now eyeing this thing called gravel racing....spends the winter riding courses on a virtually reality smart trainer like Melting Man and others..rarely stepping outside the confines of his training cave, he begins to compare his wattage band a whole bunch of other numbers he knows little about but is quite free with his speech...Before even going to the line this rider has already found out where he will place come Saturday morning...
Only later to find his indoor numbers do not always jive well with real-world crosswinds, mud, and crappy temperatures...throw in some stutter bumps and 100 other riders..
he gets ass hatched on his first outing by mid-June he is still scratching his head why?
Is this a statement or are we supposed to guess who each rider is? I guess I was expecting more on this subject when it was hyped up the other day...
