3 Ann Arbor STS races would cost you $105 for at most 3 hours of racing, and zero chance for a payout. I am guessing there is a much higher cost involved with managing 2 road races and they have an ok payout. That's not a horrible cost in my opinion.
Reg was $90 before march 31st however only a few people wanted to commit to the weekend/support our promoters with early reg. Even $125 for 2 road races and a TT with GC timing seems beyond reasonable.
Either way going to be the cheapest stage race I've ever done. The tiny NJ stage race was $160 and GMSR/Killington were over $300.
what are you mumbling about? It doesn't matter what a six pack of anything costs. This post was about the cost of entering 3 races that are well supported. Beeny is correct this is a reasonable price.
I do agree the cost isn't so bad But i also agree when you factor in for some people traveling from the other side of the state there is an expense for lodging.

a six pack of the champagne of beers is cheap and at the cost to play is an insult..
i agree with the TMS post the scene isn't healthy enough to support a stage race that pulls less than 18 guys for the 1/2 race.
but i suppose when the payout is top 3 isn't too far off for the field depth

Beeny may be right about the cost,
paying 3 deep for less than 20 riders isnt far off.
But stage racing in Michigan has never been a success, unless it was like The Old Tour De blue care crit week.
road racing is weak enough across the board let alone trying to mimic the the pro-life isnt helping.

The "other side of the state" is more than welcome to host a stage race as well...
Don't worry, I'll wait.
