1..Saturday
May 18th
Sunday, May 19th
Weekend at White Lake Stage Race - Whitehall

This one is back with a somewhat of respectable turnout last year..lets see how it goes for 2019.
4 out of 5 stars

2..Monday, May 27th
Waterford Hills Circuit Race - Clarkston
Not a big fan of this..especially for the holiday weekend..its  race just have a race...unless you live for this place than its not
1 out of 5 stars

3..Saturday, June 8th
CyclingLawyer.com Criterium - Kalamazoo -
Back at again for what now is quite possibly the longest standing industrial park crit the scene has to date..not a great course or a bad course..Geoff K made west Michigan roar with upset win there back 2014
3 out of 5 stars

N/A:
The Black Ace Death Crit..
seems odd they have the Windsor Erie st Crit on this schedule but no death crit..thats OK since few can really turn there bike its waste of a day to go down the hood and get ass hatched..
5 out of stars

4..Friday, June 14th
Zeeland Criterium - Zeeland
Hands down the most productive race all year..three classes..twilight run..great spectator turnout..and decent pay....winning on all fronts
5 out of 5 stars

5..Saturday, June 15th
Ada Criterium - Ada - [Tentative]
Only about 6 people still pedaling a bike in anger can recall the infamous ADA crit..from the Brant Hendler state crit win..to the Sheedy ride away mouth closed year..to the smash your face Evil-Dude edition..this would be HOT weekend if it pans out if not folks better find somethin to do while they hang for...........
4 out of 5 stars

6..Sunday, June 16th
Vuelta a Puerto Sheldon - Port Sheldon
man isnt this the race that only drew 7 riders last year  for the 1/ field?
1 out of 5 stars

7..Saturday, June 29th
Port City Criterium - Muskegon
getting this one bumped farther into the year might help..not the most exciting course of the year, and few spectators rates this on a 3 out of 5 stars

8..Sunday, June 30th
State Games of Michigan TT & Great Lakes Classic RR - Ottawa County
wow..this isn't much more fun than the Vuelta Porto race
2 out 5 stars

9..Saturday, July 13th
Detroit Cycling Championship - Detroit
The big money one in the Murder city...returns..no gripin here
5 out 5 stars

10..Sunday, July 14th
Corktown Criterium
Nice idea, cool hard shit course ...but it will be interesting see how it goes this year..last year few stuck around for the second day in the murder city
4 out 5 stars

11..Saturday, August 3rd
Cherry Roubaix - Traverse City
Racing returns to T town...sorta..the course is befitting to a hard mans day....
this one does not qualify a rating systemtems as of today

12..Saturday, August 10th
Rose City Criterium - Jackson
less than 2 % can remember the days of yore getting gutted in downtown Jackson..the old flat and fast 8 corner crit was pretty dialed back in the day..lets hope they stick to the OG design
No rating available

13..August 15th - August 24th
Tour Da Yoop, Eh - Manistique
Neat idea
No rating available

14,,Saturday, August 17th
Chrono Strade Bianche TT/Road Race - Ottawa County
nursing this one again seems like a good idea to stay home and KOM hunt..as the previous years turn outs haven't been fully worth the day away from getting shit done around the house and saving those traveling checks
2 out 5 stars

15..Sunday, August 18th
Gaslight Criterium - East Grand Rapids
the longest standing crit in the state....Not a super exciting course... but the quality  of the event over shadows that...the Leadout crew has this shit dialed..and the atmosphere of the cougar candy rivals even that of Birmingham and Milford of years ago,,,

17..Sunday, August 25th
Debaets-Devos Criterium - Auburn Hills
New course? New location..only the promoters know...

18..Monday, September 2nd.
Tour Via Italia - Windsor, Ontario
Pity you have to have a useless to most a UCU license to enjoy this one..but compared to the gravel extortion its worth it, maybe not for the sometimes questionable payout..but more the Italian eye candy that accompanies it

State of the hate

Well..where we came from..
where we were ..
where we are now at ..and where we are headed...
History and mystery..is the another one of those beauties of the gift life...

Sittin on the edge of spring every year is kinda neat thing...
for T ist as close to xmas mornin as this old tired bastard gets in adult twilight.......

the gravel thing is already underway..The Dome seems to be doing what it's intended to do..springflingin is just around the corner dudes have migrated for a few days to seek warmer miles..KIDA is doing something and Grayling Giant has probably logged more death marches than half the lower state..

With the roadscne preview comin this hopefully i don't wanna let the cat out of the bag..but I guess since I'm bantering..i may as well get myself up to speed a little..

Aside from humans already virtual racing...the real stuff is just getting started..

Round one of the gravel series. braving mud, tire fixing fart bike riders, and the high cost of ridiculous entry fees..a small number of folks came forward a few weeks ago to give the Waterloo Grit and Grovel another spin....Scotty didn't feel like ridin around the folks on this day and notched the first win for his new Base media squad..

A week later a similarly small amount of folks headed out to the far away small town in southwest Michigscene to take the test of Melting man..Temps close at range from last year, a break of twelve or so established just around the jeep trail from a smallish field for the 100K...Former Barry Roubaix winner Steve Broglio couldn't close down the jump from crit Master Chewberti....Last years overall winner and Waterloo grit n Grovel runner up AlexT grabbed 3rd  and nearly everyone else went away happy with bellies full of suds and pockets of gift cards to local eateries ..

With the Dirty 30..Springflingin and the BIGone looming on the Horizon..and the looks of warmer temps soon in the air..you all shoudnt having anything bitch about...

It is what it is..........
