Days of Thunder

Its the hard truth of reality that sometimes has to take the precedents over our fantasy world..and that being tonight once again the TMS fantasy race series will return next week at its normal scheduled time so T can rant alittle on yours, mine and the fuck head at the four ways home state....

In the 10 years this smelly site has been producing a feeble heart beat i hope anyone that does come here has scene the changes...some good..some bad..alot riders have come and gone all within that time ...10 years is a long time think of it in prison years..some have went from just pinning it on at the Allen park crit to the Big show..while others have won state titles only to disappear into the potters ground..i wanna think bike racing is so far from the center of  most peoples attention that there existence is not based on it.......its a cruel unforgiving sport at the level on which you normal people do it..the races too have come and gone.the MTB scene appears to be on the upswing..at least in the northern parts..graveling is the new spring thing..and unexpectedly the spring crit series has moved itself into May helping save a vacant month..but the loss of some good events is not good...i doin 10 years we have had paid UCI crossers jacked to the gills NRC crit racers. andd just about all sorts of shit in bewteen not wanting toa go too far off into this foul grammar composed shit rant i lose the scene ill stop there..

But thankfully there are some semi close alternatives...I hear The Black Aces gig was a smash...awesome weather the attendance was strong..scoring quick..lotsa spectators cougars by a pool....and the scene contingent was bigger than it ever has been..with Michigan guys sweepin at least one masters class and winning another ..
The 1/2.3 gig was even won by your current state crit champion Bryce Nuiver ...but for the majority of the others 90 minutes is a long time to suffocate in a field of that depth..

The above got T thinking 10 years is a long time to remember ..so long i have to think hard about when we had regularly 90 minutes of suffocation..shame..we need more of it.. might make the DNF count a little less down in the valley..

"And I heard, as it were, the noise of thunder
One of the four beasts saying,
'Come and see.' and I saw, and behold a white horse"

I love quoting great men...
