It's a tough one. The guy has tried to plunk his events on the same date as other West Michigan events which doesn't earn you friends, there isn't much or any payout(kind of like Race for Wishes amiright or amiright), and there have been some questionable organization decisions. It would be great to make these races a bigger deal as they are about all we have going for road races, but unless he smooths out some of those wrinkles I just don't see it happening. A night at Waterford or Grattan is a fraction of the cost and you get a known quality of event and field. I know, it isn't on the weekend, and it isn't USAC categories, but racers are voting with their money and time and those things don't matter as much. Maybe 2019 will be the year these races catch on.

Regarding Jim's events... the dude tries to put on a good event. The payouts are a joke. Rolling White Lake Stage Race TT with no timing equipment... WTF? But he is trying. Just have some kinks to work out.
Fondos are the new road races. Hincapie had a legit podium and payout and all. With a massive turnout. Fuck safety apparently... start everyone together and see who comes out on the other end.
