Rudy..man Tripper I’m still buzzing about Barry..

Tripper…epic events will do that to ya! But you seem to hold a different buzz than last year Rabbit, what gives?

Rudy..,ahh I don’t know about that..maybe it’s just man it felt so Michiganscene. I never really got to experience the birth of Barry when it was just a normal race.

Tripper, Well kid I think you just witness a turning point in the gravel world at least in the state of Michigan this is just my opinion rabbit but I believe these events are losing a little traction with the Privateers and glory chasers. I don’t believe the race will ever really lose its numbers. I mean you’re gonna lose numbers as the sport evolves but just look at that podium. It hasn’t been that thick with Michigan riders in a long time. Does that make the race any less harder? Not Necessarily, but definitely change the race dynamicsI’d be a fool fool to say that if some of the real fast life time go-getters that are chasing the gold on the gravel, national calendar wouldn’t have made a faster race!

Rudy..yeah I get it..Barry is still Barry! Local hot shoes, National champions! Personality’s, kids! First timers, fifteen timers, and the Pig farmer from Ionia.

Tripper. That’s exactly it! It’s quite possible you’re witnessing the most diverse group of cyclists anywhere!

Rudy. Right ! One minute I’m standing close to Turbo dudes, and next minute I’m getting beer spilled on me by some elderly man trying to restrain his Burmese mountain dog! 

Tripper. Speaking of Turbo dudes, they did a pretty solid job of getting a few guys on the boxes. 

Rudy. I know right! And they actually have like slow guys on the team too! It gives me hope maybe someday I could be Turbo too.

Tripper, well Rudy I would not call em slow! How about semi newcomers ? But Turbo wasn’t to only team there..did you get a chance to gander all the other great kits! ?

Rudy..I’d say its one place where creative minds are not lazy. 

Tripper, I wasn’t even there and I could feel the excitement! 

Rudy..Tripper the engagement of the hosts made it for, the announcers kept everyone in tune and they seemed so knowledgeable like they were TMS themselves! Although I will admit I missed the energy of last year’s Nazi at the finish line! 

Tripper. There it is again! You said it! Have commentators that really know people! It makes everyone feel like the gravel gurus. Just special..

Rudy. The only thing that kinda stings as it makes the wrest of the series somewhat uneventful for me. Like I’m not motivated to go Gravel and Dust race or even the Ride around the Doughnut hole. Is that wrong to do one and out? Can I still say I race gravel.

Tripper, you can say what ever you want there are a lot folks say they do this and that and have only done it once. It’s your world Rabbit paint it any color you like….just please dont get in a habit of doing that thing with your fingers that is synonymous with Metal aficionados 

Rudy..gee I don’t think Mr T would have been that generous.

Tripper…T is long gone I don’t suspect you will see that dinosaur around here anymore.
