you all get my drift, i aint speaking to the if there are any "regulars of this place", im more speaking to the where its headed folks.
The world of your scene is changing and year of void didn't help the matter much. Oh yea there are many factors why, social media, the cost, etc.
I hate doing these post, as much as i hate reading them, and to be honest dont know why i feel the need to beat a dead horse and say the things i do. Maybe its just a way to remind myself, that its ok, and without change, you/me can not evolve., and before we know we are the only ones running a rim brake, press in headset bike.

Yes it saddens me a little that we cant really have races anymore that don't involve eating enough calories to support an average household of three for an entire week.

Yes i am a tad cynical that if your not logging 100 mile rides and covering four county's on a single weekend day, that your credibility as a Strava user plummets farther and farther down respect chain.

Im I butt hurt that races involving the risk of getting curbed into a soccer mom with three kids in downtown Milford, or fighting for a wheel for 3 plus hours in mind numbing boredom of Saginaw County have been replaced with waving to an elderly couple  on some pot hole ridden dirt road in Barry county sitting while they nurse down a cold bottle of Bartels and James.
Maybe just a tad.
But i get it. We could only ride the Lance effect soo long, Some say the movement away from the grass roots road racing has been on a steady decline since the inception of the gravel movement. They also say its alot like the early days of Norba..remember them? And im on board with the no USAC thing no license, and no commitment.

Yep I agree fully.
Some will say, you can do both, and yes, those that are still focused enough can. But those folks in my opinion are not enough to save "the way we were"

And thats ok.
As much as i miss the those golden days, im eager to see the new world as well.
Not sure where this crusty ol fool was trying to go with this tonight cept, maybe just a reminder to  to slow down a tad and look around a bit cuz, the world of Zwift, KOMS, and Cow Pie classics will be gone as fast as a Tailwind.

Peace fool
T

Your dream, live it..

You ever run across people in your life that change your first impression. They say first impressions are always true. T dont believe that cripes. more often than not the pendulum has swung both ways, folks you think are cool and all together rad humans turn out to be folks on a different wave length and a staticy path that just don't fit in worth your playlist. Just like people that you shied away from fearing there vibe was not true to its intended form, and then pow when you move in you realize there the truest form of freedom that can seen.

Although this shitty blog is mere shell of its former shell, We love getting to know people, interviews were one of the main shticks we wanted to focus on.

Recently we got a chance to catch up with someone that has been on the TMS radar for awhile Sam is one of the very few in this world that is probably "living the dream" but that is such a cliche thing to say, because hell fool that guy shoveling fries into a cardboard sleeve just might be living it. Its there dream not yours. But Sam is getting a chance do what he loves, on both ends of the spectrum from pinning it on to twisting off. Seeking the truth and seeing places. He's a good kid, with knowledge way beyond his years, and one of the few that isn't selfish to share any of it..

Cuz the scene is soo random so his interview that was done briefly by a Instagram message. enjoy it fools, and stop dreaming and live it..whatever it may be..

1. Favorite bike part ever purchased

Aerocoach aeox Titan 100mm front wheel.

2. The brief story behind the pocket knife that used to wear around your neck

I like being prepared for anything, the knife is a spyderco salt series, so it can’t rust. It’s always ready to use, and when I wear it, I use it daily.

3. How often do wash that hair and are you sponsored by any hair care products

The hair gets washed every other shower, but don’t ask me how frequently I shower. If Joico or Alpecin have some dollars to throw I’d be happy to fly that flag.

4. Describe briefly your dual sponsor road/CX

As of yesterday, I’m flying solo on the road. Base Media Co still sponsors my cx privateer program, but I race for myself on the road as a free agent now

5. Your go to when all else fails fast food indulgence

2 Mcdoubles and a small chocolate shake always seem to be what let’s me finish the late Sunday night drives back to home.

6. Fashion or Passion

Passion, form follows function

7. Favorite toy as kid
Legos

8. Pet peeves

People that flake, unabashed negligence, lack of emphatic enthusiasm

9. Music tastes

Pop, punk, folk

10. Number of helmets you

4 lids at the moment.

You Might Be A Strava Turd.

Aw come onnnnnnnnnnnnnn maaaaaaaaaaaan..

No No No, you have been improving, I am seriously impressed with your diligenceand and the improvements you have made. the routes you choose have gotten better, although you have fallen short on the kudos given to your following, and the lack of pictures accompanying your day to day journeys. You my well oiled athlete are moving up on the social media fitness ladder.

Im not singling you out and  Strava bullying you personally in general, and to be quite honest im not sure we have or had not touched base on this particular smelly lone turd.

Whats this bruh?

Looks like a valid description of a chill ride dude.

I suppose that is one way of looking at it.

Or you could look at in the

"hey im just chillin because i want you to know i put in some hard efforts today on one of my fast bikes"

Whats wrong with that?

Nothing at all, That is if you really think your followers give two shits about your training plan what bike you were riding and how much effort you put out? Its safe to assume that more than 3/4 of those that are doing the end of the day Strava check swipe right past your rides like these without ever even stalking the analysis report.

Haters will defend but Jeff says be humble, as far as I know it Strava has not created a badge yet for self gloating turds.

 Hey Bub....

lets talk later tonight?

Boring places are where Wing tur bines feel safest

State of The State

Hello..

Hello..

Check. Check..

Check..

Hey..are we on the air?

Looks like it..

Dam fools...wish me luck..

Been more than a few days since I got a chance to catch up with my hero’s, haters, takers, fakers, and all the other fools that get caught up in the seams, or have fallen beneath the cracks of time...

Welcome, one and all to the early summer edition of State of  the State..

It’s been awhile..and to be flat faced honest wasn’t much to babble bout anywho..so you all can’t be faulting me..

So how you all been?

Getting your race on, your ride on, your banter on?

Looks like the crooked world is working on getting itself straightened out as much as it do...

I don’t wanna be wasting too much of your time tonight, I know you all got much better things swip left and right bout..so I’m gonna keep this right indexed finger post short and sour.

Good golly g, if folks don’t think there isn’t any action goin on in around your scene, they either spending too much time indoor zwiftin or just not really too much attention.

Waterford TTs continue to move forward. Alex Tenselhof has the record, hit up his social media platform and see.. Congrats and props to all that made that dream happen.

The Gravel scene continues move forward and slowly as predicted eating itself.. the strongmen continue to show, but the lesser are finding new avenues. Now I ain’t saying it’s on its death bed. But there are soo many weekends, and soo many things to do. It would be a crying shame not mention ol Tenselhof is ruling this world too. Cept the long stuff, even he ain’t on board with riding for almost 200 miles in northern Michigan sand.

Gratten Raceway. Seems this car track is so well liked, that even east pride are making the Wednesday night drive to swing it. The newly formed Wolverines “pro team” is making the drive.

Rumor mill surrounding the break down of the Wolverines came in the 11th hour..so big of news that T gonna make ya wait till Friday to fill you all in..

Sickbush!

Yeah I’m gonna say it again

Sickbush

Wins Lumberjack 100.

Leaving Tan Guy, ScottyA, Yankum, in his TC wake.

And a Lumberjack wouldn't be the same without a SIMONSTER top 10

the conditions, and trail took its toll on two of TMSs favorite humans Duffield suffered a tree collision. And the Pony ran into the effects of Mother Nature..

All the while the Grayling is running from the Banjos..

One the south-end. Waterford and the AAVC put on a weekend of crit racing.

Waterford was Waterford with all the regulars in attendance. If your not a local. You will never understand. Masters fields were the strongest and the 1/2/3 saw a mere 13 riders come to the line. Yes Tenselhof got the best of the Ohio kid Justin Kale, and Kellen Caldwell... as Sam was coming faster than a senior on prom night. And I’d be a fools fool to not mention the return of Highlander to the scene with a solid ride. Getting bested by Mcbride.

Sunday brought us an abbreviated AAVC spring fling in June thing. Pretty gol darn impressed. Solid fields, and ultimately surprised by the new Dexter course. The guy with a 80s porn star like name Bobby Monroe won from a two man lap the field break, over Revolutions newly formed group O2 and a somewhat scene but fast unknown. John Royal.

with a side note hidden in the top five in of course what else. Base Media threads was. The Evil Dude. And to think he was was gone out to old man pasture...hope he sticks around..

And on the same frickn day Two of Miscene finest, Bookwalter and KidA ride a hard mans break in national championship. That is pretty dam badass..

I must say, it’s a whacky world still..

and they isn't a day go by that T don’t miss miss his basement. But after losing the keys, he suppose just some things are just left alone.

I’ll leave you all with this..

Stay cool. And if you ain’t got much good to say.

Say nothing
