Haters arr gonna hate

Whiners R gonna WHINE

Probably the best course for a State Crit Champ in 10 yrs and you hear COMPLAINTS?

Guys who have been racin 1-2 maybe 3 yrs think they've earned the right to complain -

BULLSHIT
TMS: well whats your take on Sundays "State Crit Championship" ?

MR T: well ill tell you folks the rumbling thats been rollin for a few days got me thinkin

TMS: well lets here it..

MR T: I know the course is gonna be a valid one, its promoted well, gonna get some good spectation. And the parking is ample for most. and Mother nature is gonna want it her way.

TMS: think you can call out gripes, hypes and favorites.

MR T; initially i wanted to let some outsiders and friends step in.. Bu tpeoples lives are busy and summer believe it or not is getting long in the tooth for many. So since i have been the one runnin this site i thought i needed to step.

TMS: ok lets get it on.

MR T: no matter anyway U slice it, it aint gonna be a easy day in the saddle, the scene isnt that soft. I use the cat 3's for example..with that Stange kid gone RUDYP outta there its wide open..cat 3's will be cat 3's in my tenner i have never scene it any difference than it is now.. favorites, ill through out Rodd, RONC, maybe soul brother #1, if he can get his butt up that hill.
The masters are very simmillar excpet i think this year the thickness of the field is greater, take the 35+ers..this aint no DC and Pony show...DAM you got guys Like Lathrups, Adams and Docsavage, Bruce Riveria, the Whitelightning, the HULK. Above the Baar, for god sakes the list goes on...id be hater if i didnt call Bruce with W...that is unless...Swiatlowski shows..then it could go different. Its like a mini 1/2 field without all the teen age Testosterone..

TMS: OK then I gotta ask you...the 1/2

MR T: Im not gonna HATE Im not gonna HATE..but the crying is gettin old..you got what you got this aint no fake suicide, its in your back yard, race that shit like you stole it. This might be one of the best assembled groups of usual Miscene talent to date, no I aint saying the rest were slouches, but you got some guys riding good, lotsa fresh you green faces as well as some solid yrs in there. a few sceners bring many weekends of outside power to the ground... My prediction....... because of the length of this race its gonna go from the gun..single file through and through until we se a gap at around mid to 3/4 and then thats all she wrote....I think ya all gonna be surprised at what will unfold in the heat of Sunday afternoon..

TMS: So no prediction...

MR T: i wouldn't be me without this one PAIN...nothing more....nothing less..

Milford Crit, the state championship ..I told you I wasn't going NO WHERE..I don't need no introduction and I sure as hell don't need that fake fool interviewing me. I got this shit and i can handle it all on my own. you aint gonna get the long drug out sports center play by play pre game from fools. Im gonna give it to you straight from my hip.

The course: isn't no industrial park...fast technical and good for a championship well promoted and you get double for nothing points to boot.

Masters: old 1/2's and other dudes..its gonna stay together.and you better get your sprinting legs together thats all got to say.

Cat 3: stop chasing everything that moves make something stick and pimp yo ride.

Cat 4: crazy..insane.

Pro 1/2: Ok so its a tad short but its short for everyone i guess the suck'as who are used to going long got as much of an advantage as the weaker. Still think a breakaway is on tap. And when the field assembles for the also rans, the only thing that is gonna suck is the ones that are not sprinters sticking there butts in the middle which lends itself to a sketchy scene.

Now go race your dam bike..

Mr T Thanks Gary for stopping by in such short notice, i know with the move and change of lifestyle we kinda lost contact.

Gary: No sweat Lawrence, just because we dont talk everyday doesn't mean we aint tight, like brothers, we all have busy lives. ya know.

Mr T: I hear ya..So wanna through your two cents in on some predictions?

Gary: I tell i havent been around but I have been paying attention, and looks to be tight all across the road.

Mr T: so ill just through some thoughts at ya..

Gary: lets roll

Mr T: Masters 35+

Gary: id be a fool if i didnt pick Bruce, or last years winner if he SHOWS.. but ya know id never count out the Lathrup Duo of Brian "the guitar" Adams or that Savage fella. There is a wild card in the group..Dave Baar, the fool has been raising hell outside of Miscne.

Mr T i think you forgot the HULK.

Gary: aww man... me and Bill B haven't talked in ages...

Mr T Miscnes HULK Tom Link..he is the MBRA points leader

Gary: oh the Points leader..ok I gotta think the field is too deep for him this weekend.. but i would call him down.

Mr T. masters 45

Gary: If it comes down to field sprint That guy with the kwick Kid, Or Jones dude could squeak one out. Mark Cahn maybe.BIGRAY but the word is he is gonna be MIA for some reason.

Mr T masters 55+

Gary: KARWANTSOME..

Mr T lets Jump to CAT 3

Gary: this one is wide open with alotta green3 runnin to the 1/2's you might get that thick dog Rodd comin through, But id love to see Kevin Collins roll across. Dark Horses could be fellas like Ron Catlin, Blaine Benson, and with all the promo that he carry's with him Pat Robb.

Mr T, well ya know Gary I hear this is Pats last cat3 race as he is on his way out to the 1/2's

Gary: a bought time...

Mr T I know were short on time Gary so im gonna jump to the 1/2's

Gary: dam Lawrence could it get any tougher?

Mr T: well Gary its gonna be nothing but pain, and Id love to get the Reapers take on it. But every time he shows he brings more than most can swallow.

Gary: id rather not speak to him again at least not for awhile

Mr T so..what will it be?

Gary; the course is too tight and punchy for the pure filed sprinters, so its gonna be a early break due to the shortness of the race, ya know its not 90 minutes, so fresh legs may be more than usual, but i doubt it with that depth of the field and the wearing start finish.

Mr T: who's who.

Gary: Well that Finkle fella who has been winnin the share with all that heart.. is gonna be a no show for some odd reason... so it could be a Gary favorite... a Black Panther, or that cat from outta town on the that big time squad, or the Ohio champ. i wouldn't rule out Roadking he has one state title under him already but if comes down to a sprint i wouldn't lay my Abraham's on him. Id also wouldnt call myself a scener without hinting a Bissell onslaught..they come in numbers and leave with single digits more often than not.

Mr T: so maybe that Stange Kid?

Gary: Not yet...

Mr T: and that's that huh? nothing else...?

Gary: well Lawrence, its not to be cut and dry never is, Its gonna be good.. no matter what, I love Milford, I used to buy my shoes there at this posh little store ya know..

Mr T. really..?well Gary thanks again and dont be a stranger..

Gary: Thanks Lawrence for thinking of me. ya know were im at. I love ya bro.

Mr T. Much love Gary..Much Love....

It may be alittle premature to hype this weekends gigs, but from the way alotta cats have been rolling. Its gonna be one hellva weekend for the folks pinning them on whether on the West side or East side one thing is for sure the meat is gonna be juicy. I would love to call in some out side sources for alittle pre race Sunday State championship predictions. we'll see if anyone bites..

Hagaan Daz and Hormones

First name Mr, middle name 'period', last name T!

I have been know to have a few quotable sayings in my time...I pity the fool..who cant recall a few..But aint mad at cha..I can forgive but i cant forget..So forgive me for throwin down some others here from time to time, they may not be all mine and i sure as hell dont give credit when credit is due from time to time ..but i can tell you this..ONE THING IS TRUE..and you can quote me on this T has stayed true to his roots..and thats the Facts JACK...
Enuf of all that Jibber jabber..I may have been born at night but not last night, so i can say this with all honesty The month of July is always interesting soo much is going on in most peoples busy life, our lands birthday, pool parties, swimmin pools, barbecues, camp outs, pig outs, cruising to Atlanta, etc..you get my drift..so its safe when i say summer tends to burn a person alittle, and in the second breathe some seem to go the other way. In all honesty the more things change the more they stay the same..
Take last weekends foray in Fenton MIscene its been called many things..In my head its the Mullet Yawn...they say there is no sure things in life, but past history most often dictates the future.so Saturday for example was not exempt....

Tuesday Banter..

Im staying up way too late as of late trying to process some things inside my brain, Trying to wrap my head around all sorts of things, some directly related to TMS and some alittle distant. I got to be flat faced honest about the first, without being too douche bag white like.
How do you fix something that aint exactly broke? Some would just let things keep working, and go with it until it crumbles, and try piece to it back together. Its takes time to solve problems, sometimes money, energy, stress, and loss of personal well being. You get my drift.
First off . my mind and are my banter thoughts, I dont want the job, don't have the time or energy, so ill just throw rocks. Theres been alotta grumbling about the Michiganscene road scene and all the context, the turnouts, the payouts, the No shows and the for nothing. without regret im gonna speak like Tony..and adress what i feel may be some thoughts for the crew of the series, I will say this i have the utmost respect for everyone involved, from the folks at MBRA, to the promoters, to TMS readers and racers.. If you can mottle through all this terrible muck muck..maybe progress can be made...
1st thought...The Mbra series..what happened, TMS went from having a 8 race series, with fomadable rider count, and the chance at getting a Cool Euro watch for the overalls, to having a race every race on the calendar, and anything in between to win something?, with again growing numbers, many not even from our state. The second we have done a good job pulling from outside, into a debt stricken state.. I see The MBRA series though as a soup that my Aunt Dorthy used to cook up, she was a dam good cook, but in her golden years she got a little overzealous..she started adding to her famous recipes and it killed the overall quality..
The series is not much different as TMS has expressed..KISS, is an age old saying and it holds true, KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID... all the folks want to do is race there bikes.
My take on the MBRA series is it needs to be condensed, you can include all the races if its a lure for the promoters, But when the points get tabulated at the end for the grip..(that's coming) A riders best % counts not the fool who went deep inside there wallet to drive all over gods creation for the points. face it people we all have lives, we only get a short time enjoy Michigan summers, and some of us like to race outside of Miscene once in awhile. By counting the best say 7 of 12 or something its alittle more level. drop the trackie races, if your gonna count those count the midweek worlds going on all over Miscne...
Its obvious TMS has a some strong talent and good races, look at the outsiders rollin in, 10 yrs ago from what i hear you didn't have the contingent of riders from other areas invading your scene. This is a good thing. why not keep coming back more often?
What about the grip for the overall MBRA points, for crying out loud someone is handling that MBRA website, and keeping track of the points..they may be do-ing it without collecting a check, But you may as well do it right. The grip is out there you just need to go get it, I know nearly everyone gets the HOMIE hookup on bike stuff, aint no one payin the full monty on all the LWS..U must be gettin it from somewhere, your local LBS, or factory rep solicit these guys not 2 weeks before the race well in advanced.....? There needs to be something at the end of the rainbow that is obtained for a semi prestigious feeling in return on all that sweat and time away from normal life..I dunno custom leaders jersey for next year, big ol gold nugget style ring etc. necklace.. belt buckles..something anything....just thoughts...
The Pay outs I fully understand, no one is doing this hobbies for the dead guys, Yea I know I know some of you only race for pride...But it doesn't always have to be for $ I betcha some of the lower cats would love some other form of reward, could be anything from some Bike swag, I aint talking water bottles and Goo flask, things real suck's can use..I didn't think too in depth about swag. but the $ for the upper cats should be consistent and not too top heavy. I have heard whole alotta 1/2 fools sprint for 15th place when $ on the table, so they aint turning it down when its offered $$$ must be that pride thing there all talking about.
Since im on a box..How about configuring all the State Championship events within the same block, doesn't have to be the same weekend, but within the three week period. I have heard the word peaking and some folks like to try to attempt it, maybe by putting these championship events near each other it would get suck'as to up there game and figure that shit out, instead of roller coasting it. just a thought...
Thats all got right now....I understand this change all takes effort, and its whole lot easier for me to spout off my mind and sceners to just roll with the punches, and keep showing up and posting hatred....but its like getting old if you dont keep adjusting yourself you get stiff and grey....

and worse slow...

Feel free to express yo self in anyway....but control the HATRED. cuz you know i care....T

A couples things about this guy maybe you dont already know..He is one of the few one man wrecking crews out there, has raced every weekend since late March, Talks alot while riding, quite funny, isnt shy..Spends alot of time outside of our scene and it has shown as he gets the TMS Who Cares Im flying or something like that..award
Get to know him he's cool..

Adam York

1.one thing you would change about michigan cycling
Planning around other big out of state races. We are a terminal state surrounded by numerous strong and well run race scenes. Competition is a must, but that is just one part of the big messy puzzle. Joe Lekovish plays Atlas with the world on his shoulders. I take my hat off to him.

2.one thing you like best about it.
At the core we might not have a big scene, but it is a strong scene with a lot of talent on and off the road.

3.favorite michigan race
Cherry Roubaix. Good race venue and well put on. We need more multi day races like this.

4.have you ever farted while racing
I farted while writing this...so yes, I've farted while racing. One word: protein.

5.if you were alan antonuck for one day what would you do
Make it rain at the strip club followed by some cocaine and hookers. Maybe rob a bank. Oh and drink lots of milk.

6.worst fad you can lay claim to
Gross beards seem to be back in style, so lets go with that. Like all trend setters I'm on to the next one: the shadow.

7.if you could get one free punch and use it on any cyclist who would it be
Tie between Lance Armstrong and Mark Cavendish, but I have two fists, so I don't see why this can't be arranged.

8.do you see yourself going on to greater things outside of tms
Who knows. I certainly don't, but I'll be damned if I won't give it my all. Though lets be honest here, I'm just polishing a turd. I'll see how far I can get till I come to the realization I can't risk life and limb anymore. Fall back? Bike packing and shunning human contact culminating in being eaten by a bear. (Just before I die I'll have the epiphany I should have stuck with road racing)

9.worst habit
Getting up late. If it isn't a race I'm not getting up.

10 if you could be anyone else in michigan cycling, who would it be
Any sprinter. Would be a dream to just roll the dice every race. Just sit in waiting for your turn to throw down at the end. Would take a lot of the stress out of racing. I also hear you can also party in Europe for months and still do well. So really its an all around winning combination!

11 who would win a fight Jon the black ace Card, or Big Ray dybo
Big Ray is a lover not a fighter and Jon Card is spry. So I've got my money on the ace of spades.

12 you get a chance to race 110 mile road race with over 9K feet of climbing, but you have to ride a full blown DH bike or recumbent, which do you choose
Recumbent: 99% sure I could carry more beer on a recumbent.

13 what scares you
The brain damage I've accrued by gluing tubulars.

14 your 5 favorite bands
Tool, A Perfect Circle, Nine Inch Nails, Atmosphere, Lil Wayne (don't hate).

15 what wasyour worst cycling purchase ever
Powertap: ruined my life.

16 One thing that you do that probably no one else does
Have screaming matches with a parrot while riding the rollers. She generally wins.

17 can you do wheelies
Nope. Pretty sure my sex life has suffered as a result. Chicks dig wheelies, right?

18 boxers or briefs
Compromise: boxer briefs

19 swim the english channel, or 1/2 iron man choose one.
Screw running. English channel all the way. Till I drown...which won't take long.

20 female body parts... fake or real? pick one...
Real deal holyfield.

I Got a chance to mull over my thoughts, feelings and anger, that's been stewin in me since my Atlanta friends left. I am not gonna get all worked up, It aint worth it..First to that Little Fake Suicide man, I dunno who let you in, but if you don't stop trying to be me..cuz no one can...your gonna get your lil self hurt plain and simple..move on..if we meet.... and we will it ain't gonna be nice..
The Second thing..D-Town..I didn't blow it off.. I respect the fact we got someone
pushin for revival... you can never discount that. But I cant be everywhere at once, which leads me to my third rant...

The Third..the Terry Reisch Memorial Charity Race....I wasn't there either..and from what hear through the lines, is that few were..OK heres the deal...to all shouts of discontent about the thinness of the pro 1/2 heard..We all want to support a good cause, But the simple fact remains is most of those suck'as have had alotta racin in there legs, maybe did the Dtown thing the day before, got shit goin on and there cribs they need to tend to before the weekends out. I understand and can wrap my head around not every fool has got all the time in the world to be pinnin numbers on and racing every third or fourth day like a select few.....I also get it... they probably aren't doing it for the $..cuz lets face it there isn't none..but that being said a little return on the investment never is turned down. Finlay the Michigan challenge points or whatever that got waved around..BHAA, I can only imagine only about 3 dudes really care about that..so dont hate me..

Theres only so much jelly in the jar and when it gets spread around two to three loafs, the sandwiches get pretty thin...

Get my dirft?

Monday, July 11, 2011

It was a stoned groove..N0- thing can compare to swinging it in the Murder City, aside from the money, the drugs, the gambling and the women, the empty buildings, the hardship, lack of employment...the homeless, the lack of funds, the despair and low quality of the air, the construction, the tie ups, the upsets and hic ups...I got to get my groove on with some skinny dudes on a Hot ass July day..
Oh sure, I may a been Little spent from the night before with all the pre festivity's that got laid upon my table, but that didn't stop me.Money, broads and booger sugar, and secret treaties is sometimes not on T's everyday menu but I couldn't help myself this weekend I aint from this city but I aint got no problem with laying claim to a second home.I may not be built for the long haul and I isnt too tall but i can jump when i need to..When it snows and the shorty's call I jump, I aint too proud to beg ya know..So speaking of shorty's how about a short list of it all..
Misc ramblings here-say, and banter is what made up my day..E Fulk, got game with little promotion..imagine what she can do with more support, Crashes strewn the streets, a LIL pOny was scene runnin once again amongst the other horses, the wiff of Cigars filled the chicanes. Shorty's be eyein em. Masters be full of old 1/2ers, Fixxie are ragin. SJD was in the house..the Hobo's were creepin. The Canadians came locked and ready to bust off caps. MIA's were too many to speak of. Sketchiness was the main topic of the day, Oceans of power aide were consumed, a certain fool was assumed, and accused. Most locals left pleasantly amused with the different view.

You aint gotta be hatin cuz there is enuf of that already..
