Tripper.. Darn Rudy can you believe it? I mean, I feel like I could run like Forrest Gump I mean my energy level is so high for the scene right now that I could hardly even tie my shoes this morning.

Rudy.. yeah tripper it is pretty freaking cool right now! I mean with "heavy sigh" With the buzz of the cyclocross state championship and the closing of a great season of gravel racing and holy cow Tripper I never thought I would say this, but I’m actually a little giddy about it being holy week

Tripper… Yeah Rudy it’s a pretty good time right now, but there is also a lot of uneasiness, especially in and around with the election coming up. I’m trying not to be too ready to celebrate.

Rudy.. I believe the folks should sleep well over a successful gravel season. They had a beautiful day at the final event. The turnout was pretty decent and well I guess the pink slip is still owned by the Turbo boys and our good buddy. Dan never even got pushed off his bike once this year.

Tripper.. Yeah Rudy, I’ll say it again we’re pretty darn lucky to have a solid series like that. I know some of the folks in and around the Michigan scene like to toss turds at it from time to time, but we all know it’s just for grins.

Rudy.. i’m kind of hesitant about saying this, but I’m gonna say it anyways I feel a little Bad for Timmy, I mean, I would have to say he has more second places than anyone buying for that cool cup every year I think holy shit he’s gonna pull it off

Tripper.. I agree Rudy but man it’s hard to beat a guy that is willing to go into the snake pit at least once a month and well I think like I’m not gonna name any names. Father time comes hard for you when you reach that 50 Marke, I mean, I don’t know too many athletes that, continue to get better faster stronger once that mid life mark hits!

Rudy.. That’s a good point tripper I mean, I’m not an athlete or anything, but it’s really hard. I think probably when you’re at that level. suppress your brain and think oh yeah I’m just gonna keep getting better just because I’m fit. I eat well I’ve got the grip and most of all. I got a solid head on my shoulders because I think that might be one of the biggest things an athlete can battle.

Tripper.. Facts.. And you missed one Thing Rudy

Rudy… Oh, what’s that Tripper?

Tripper.. Oh, one of the biggest things anyone has to overcome and it’s even bigger in the sports world. Three letter word EGO! …the hardest pill for some to swallow  that nasty little word will get in the way every time.

Rudy.. I will say this, though I am happy to see that young guy take home that cup for another year. It’s always good to know that it lands in a place where it’s most well-deserved and most respected.

Tripper.. Totally agree

Rudy is there still a cup for the women's winner?

Tripper. Great question. I have no idea!!???

Rudy.. Tripper you’re pretty wise I mean, I know you were an athlete at one time and I think you’re a good role model I also believe you’re a great leader got a good sense of humor a very well way of getting your point across and you always give me great advice, and well with all due respect you’re not a young guy you ever thought about maybe coming around here and talking the aging of an athlete and how to deal with it and maybe continue the way of an athlete?

Tripper.. oh, come on I don’t think I’ve got that kind of advice. I mean we’ve have these candid moments me and you out here just enjoying nature and being "you know like two dudes"  I don’t think I could offer up anything. I don’t know. Athletes are funny creatures I think if they want help or they want advice they seek it out sometime. But when you get something for free you don’t always appreciate it. I mean. A lot of these people in the scene take for granted what they got whether it’s that new pair of shoes they slip on in the morning, the ability to get back-and-forth to races and not have to really worry about the economy or if they’re eating the butts the bread so their kids can have the good stuff!

I’m not gonna rule it out.

You know we don’t get the TAO Anymore since T is so inconsistent maybe it might be a good thing. Ill  think about it.

Rudy.. I think we all have a gift. I think yours might be spreading a little bit of knowledge without it coming off as criticism.

Tripper..You can lead horse to water.

Rudy..ahh

Tripper... Moving on Rudy moving on… You know it is holy week and I think the vibe is high rumors circulated that sand was going to be a problem. I even heard grumblings of dangerous now I don’t know about that, but I do know that mother nature looks to be smiling a very fresh grin on everyone. This is such a big time of the year I even have heart palpitations and I’m not really, an ICEMAN Kinda guy!

Rudy… Yeah, tripper I think you’re right. It’s also strange to have it so close to Halloween! I’m not watching the clock But I am a little excited I mean everything with Lexi coming home the great weather, the vibe, the people, the hoopla, big Ray, caffeine soul, SJD, heck even Brian fucking Adams shows up to this thing

Tripper.. Quite possibly the greatest spectacle in the state of Michigan, when it comes to peddling a bike!

Rudy.. Any predictions on a winner Tripper ..?

Tripper.. Absolutely not! I mean that field depth at the front of that race is so big. I mean I would like to think that riding off  Big Sugar form, Lexi might be the favorite but man it’s such a crapshoot when it comes to the end! And for letting him take a flyer and going away it’s gonna be a battle to the end! And because im not too up to date on the females. Same cant touch it.

Rudy.. Yeah, tripper I think he’s kind of a Marked guy!

Tripper… OK Rudy that’s enough. I gotta get going. Dinner is almost ready and I really like liver and onions.

HENRY ROLLINS WILL NOT MAKE MUSIC AGAIN

Throughout his life, Henry Rollins devoted many years to music, especially punk. In addition to leading the hardcore band State of Alert for a while, the artist peaked as the leader of Black Flag from 1981 to 1986. However, Rollins confessed that he will not be making music again, arguing that he is “smart enough not to return for the encore.”

This is how the punk icon stated in a new interview with Chuck Armstrong of Loudwire Nights, where he talked about his passion for writing and the release of his new book Stay Fanatic!!! Vol. 4 - Lessons In Possession and Confessions of Obsession.

Rollins confessed that his work ethic solidified during his time headlining Black Flag, describing the project as a “hard-working band.” The artist said: “Greg Ginn and Chuck Dukowski were like the elders, the big ones in the group, and from them I learned my work ethic, as far as music goes and everything, because they were unbreakable.”

Already immersed in the musical theme, Armstrong reminded Rollins of a statement he made in 2023 that he wouldn't return to a stage with a band for anything in the world. Far from dodging that question, the artist answered:

"I'm smart enough not to return for the encore (... ) I just walk away... I don't quit silently. I don't fade away. "I simply leave after every obligation has been fulfilled."
