Card and Zellers, ride well at USCF masters nats..

We all know Brent Bookwalter was the man in Pa past week posting the fastest overall tt time but...Jon Card and Norm Zellers both rode well at Seven Springs Pa, this past week at the USCF masters nats, Zellers rode to a 8th in masters men 30-34, and Card missed the podium at 4th in 40-44,..Card also was 10th in the TT earlier in the week, other locals rode well too!! Jim Regan of Saturn of Toldeo was 6th in the crit. West Coaster Brant Hendler was 3rd in the 30-34 crit, and Rob Daksiewicz finished well the RR and crit WAY to go Michigan BOYS!!!

Card got 4th at nats in the road race?! Didn't that course climb over 6,500 feet? I'm no "geography major", but there's no place in Toledo you can substitute for that. You're right "he's no climber" (see July 11th comment), but that's impressive for someone his size. Must have been guts, grovelling, or both.

In a prior post, somebody stated Card can't climb or sprint. This person who wrote this obviously doesn't know anything about Jon Card and his resume.
He raced with Floyd Landis, Roberto Gaggiolli, Dave McCook etc, just to mention a few top racers on Plymouth Ellsworth Road and MTB Teams, and Chevy Trebone MTB in the 90s on the pro circuits. The top races in the US all year.
It's tough for Jon to shine all the time when the Midwest fields are dominated by numbers and team tactics.
Jon is in his 40s, also.
Yes, he can climb and sprint.
Keep Kicking Butt Jon.

Also, I forgot; Card has a family, wife, several children and a full time job; since that was mentioned as a critia for bike racing.
