No James Garner wasnt there, but if he was he would of needed his Firebird to keep up with The Priority Health Boys, they did what was expected and put on a riders clinic of winning! ...in the 1-2 field they put 7 hard dudes off the front and made everyone come after them..Guys were comin off left and right and in the end there were only 30 or so left standing when the PH posse came through to lap them in the same fashion as last year. Speedy Sheedy scores one for the hometown crowd. with the rest of michigan chasin! There were some new faces and some sore legs in that field.
Derek grahm scored a win cat3 for his PH boys, some may remember derek from his earlier foray in the MTB scene in Mi when he was a fast youngin! also present in this race were a few MTB converts...HHHMMM???
Ben Whithead showed why he is Michigan State Champion as won the masters 30 race holdin Off Hooters!! palo Eugine form canada
Danny Klien from the Wolverines made rare appearance in the 40+ class and won it with the ever fast Jim Regan of Saturn/shell team.
Cat 4 once again witnessed a horrific crash resulting in the meatwagon making a showing...OUCH?!@$#
Once again this race has shown to be the toughest crit in Michigan only the strong are left when the lactic acid clears..Thanks to all those involved and thanks Priority Health for putin the hurt to us! see ya next year!

whats fuct about them priority laid it down no one cares about anything but 1st except those that wished they were there, I respect warriors, but in the scope of things, theres ONE winner.
I think next year a fair amount of us 1-2's will save our money and our time...
that race (for the past 2 years) was like getting beat up on the playground and somebody taking our lunch money. I'm taking a different route to school.
I thought it was horse-sheet that they call a bunch of PH boys to the front at the start, then when the gun goes, sheedy attacks and his boys sit up. As if he needs any other advantage.

yea....the whole thing of calling the HOME team to the front..its kinda like the the home at any sporting event gets first ball. i have always thought that race was shady for a number of reason, i wont be goin back and not because of the stiff comp, I have beem well placed there in years past. Its just a dumb run event. my opinion.
Dumb run event?? F*&^% you! its a tough race,and besides, go faster!!, go kill another event and we will be ft with parking lot crits..
Everyone is getting angry. I think the course is awesome and the race is a sweet race. It is just too hard to tell who is in what group due to the fact that so many get spit out early on the climb where no one can see it. Then the officials are left guessing. All I can say is if u get canned early just sit up and let the officials know that u r out, that solves the guessing game. And what Priority did is smart racing, let the hometown boy fly in front of his crowd.
yea compton your right on some points, but you cant argue the fact of its shadyness....callin the home team to the front? i have witnessed in the years past hairbrain callups at this race, 2 years ago NOT even calling up current points leader, and than the following year slighting the same guy after he beat the shit out of everyone all season, and then what did they do??? call up some (shall be nameless) who finished second that year. Just for the record it looks good when you get the home team on the front infront of the bigwigs, I love the course it fast tough and brings out the strongmen, so i guess if you can get over its favortisim to michigans WONDER team its a good race.
