CROSS LORDS.

First and foremost... Thanks andrea tucker for bringin us the images of our sceners Home.If photography was like racing, Andrea peaked for the nats....THANKS...Well the cross lord shined down our Sceners and blessed them with what will go down as one of if not THEE best cross nats in years, After flogging and blogging and searchin, skimming through all the web sites and picture posts it comes down to this. I wish TMS could shake hands of all those that went east and made Michigan look good, but i cant..So in brief, Michigan was stronger represented more than ever. from what we gather the weekend had its share of ups and downs,The Blue wave team was all intact, Jon Card suffered from a severe torn muscle, Weinert rode good just missin the top 10 on Friday, Rob Foshag shook all the bike issues and went the distance on saturday in the Mens Elite, (a feat in itself) Ann and Rachel met with the tough womens comp but rode strong, Smoky Joe made the podium ROCK ON!, THE GIANT KILLER got a taste of big time national comp and faired non the worse. It makes all of us at TMS smile to see how strong the cross group of MI is! Nice job to all and to all a good season. as REO speed Wagon once put it....
KEEP THE FIRE BURNING!

What up? Are you dissing KC or was it just an oversight?

oversight..

TMS doesn't know KC - she didn't race any michigan races she is just from michigan. great racer though.

Its not we were not aware of KC, yea we seen her rock out all summer pickin off good results around our scene, but once she went back to school she fell off the radar, hell maybe i should posted something about Chris Peterzack? (miss spelled I know) he was a MI homeboy years back, raced for Rays up in Midland moved to cali works out there and almost took the 30-34 class back east, but we just need to draw the line on who's representing, no disrespect! thanks for bringing it to our attention!

wtf...and your point is?

KC still rides for WSC. I seem to remember Bookwalter being at Lees, but everyone keeps him in the radar as a homey. She wore her college jersey at natz but, she's still a MI grrl with close ties here, and she's someone for MI jr. women to look up to.

My take on the whole thing is, she hasnt raced a single cross race in her HOME state. So to call her a scener on the Cross scene, road season yes...it was just a oversite. NOT a slight. props go out to KC. But in all do respect, I cant remember mentioning Bookwalter here on TMS in any depth were proud of him and respect him, he is in fact a great racer and cool dude, but he has in a way surpassed this small unit of our scene. And keeping Bookwalter on the radar is easy as he is killing it everywhere. No disrespect. It was a oversight

I agree. ARC

hate to burst your bubble but KC has done cross races in michigan. and she has been all over this year as well. check road nationals, the cross races in N.C., fitchburg, superweek, etc. she's been a rising star this year

well put tms

All road events set aside Fitchburg etc. Im not saying she isnt a gun, But which cross races in Michigan did she do? Im not finding it.....you know im not gonna sit here and debate the issue. Having a michigan drivers liscense isnt the only criteria for a scene supporter, She's good and getting better. But she's not stealin the cross show here in her home state! nuff said
