2007 Road Season preview part 4

With all the talk about the 1-2 field its about time we get to those who keep the sport fed and fresh with vigor and lust to unseat the usual suspects. every season brings a new crop of riders, whether there just gettin into it, club hardcores or there seasoned riders from another cycling background there new faces lookin hungry. lets start at the next level.
.
We all know the 1-2 field in our Scene hasnt gotten any easier ,Cat 3 standout Jason Brake was looking good at cross and hopefully will bring some of that over with him. Saturn/Shells, Todd Shaw and Dan Clark both time trial well enough to take away some 1-2 riders spots. cant leave out PH boys, John Doyle, or Derek Graham...

Cat 4 always has its share of riders ready to either go master or 3 darrell Anderson , and Kistler are hoping to make the leap. JB Hancock states he's gonna own the 4's now..HMM

Tony the Giant Killer from South Lyon/Jittery Joes, and Young Luke from the Wolverines are gonna be the future of the Miscene if they stick to it

Masters 35+ has the seasoned Jon Morgan on hand this guy has been around our scene for LONG time and always seems to be in there, helll he has won the overall Too many times to count! it wasnt easy though this past season as Dan Fisher took some wins and should he wants that 35+ title. you cant count out Joe L from Southlyon/Jittery Joes, if he sprints like he did at the The Tour D Italia he's gonna snag alotta top 5's and maybe eekk UGGG gasp!!! a WIN!!! spoiler??...Paul Winocour

masters 40+ Saturn/Shells Eric snider and marc Armstrong are a deadly pair. Snider can time trial like NO ones business.

Masters 55, is Gonna see Frank the MAN kistler, who is saturn of toledo do it it again.

Women 1-2 field is gonna be tough if Kacey Manderfield doesnt fell like doin alotta NRC races or beating the guys, if she's not there Salon/Xl's Julie Bellrose is ready or Brin pope . The Girls interupted from the Saturn/shell team may be the surprise duo, but only time will tell if they can lay off the partying.

We dont want leave ou the juniors, but there way too many to pin as the NEXT one, but if quick thought....The brinkman brothers, we told you to watch em last year. I say this is there year

They dared to go where no one would try
they chose to fly where eagles dare.

Anyone who can end a post with a quote from Iron Maiden is alright by me. Give me some Slayer and it'll be perfect.

You left me out of the mix? Is that just because I don't race for a Michigan team? This is ridiculous, I can't believe it....

Speaking of new riders, take a look at Team Venom Cycling. A newcomer to the Michigan scene this year, we have several riders looking to make early upgrades to cat 4 this spring, and make an impact there this summer. With the high energy level this team is exibiting through winter training, I expect great things!
