from personal experience I have been on the other side of a JT beatdown, but honestly he is not only about being fast. He goes out of his way to bring new guys into the sport. With him and some other Kzoo guys like Jeff Hamilton they really try to teach you how to race smart. Good thing Josh finally got this well deserved interview.

whats with the Homo pic on the far left, any so called Sceners we know?

Giving Josh this interview was only fuel to the fire of this kids' mad ego. There's a lot more in the head of this tool than the legs, he's strong but he'll never be a professional level bike racer like he tells everyone. Winning collegiate races at age 26 or whatever he is is no grand achievement, sorry.

I am not god nor do I proclaim to be, but don't be pissed at Josh for winning almost everything this year. Winning any race, regardless of age is HARD. Chill and go out and try to ride on his wheel for an hour and then see what he truly has. He is a great guy if you get to know him and see what he puts into the sport then everyone would respect what he does.

were not getting into this...but we havent seen any ego, as far as his results go any win is a good win.

I am so proud of you! Winning 5 races and it's only April is amazing, keep being a stud!

the world if full of negetivity. the flame posts here are a sign of humanity, people so eager to blow out other candles in a heartless attempt to make theirs shine brighter. weak.

congrats to josh on a stellar spring. only a handful of guys ever win races, wether it be local or Pro. bet the guys flaming are the ones who can't even make the break in these so-called worthless spring races, let alone win a race on their own.

i say josh should use your contempt as fuel to his success, not fuel to the ego that you say he so proudly displays.

ride your bike.

This is Josh's Mom and Grandma and we are here to tell you that it is Josh's God-given drive and passion that fuels his engine and he knows and understands this! Confidence and passion is not ego!!! Keep up the great work, Josh. Have fun and don't let the flamers burn ya! (does flamers mean what we think it does??? like in flaming a-- hole. If it does it's a good description!

i was josh's 3rd grade teacher and he cheated on the class spelling bee (notice his spelling in the interview), so its safe to assume he's cheating now. he's sneaky dont let those good looks fool you.

What are you implying by he is "cheating", I would choose your words carefully. In the this day and age of cycling those kind accusations can go a long way. You better watch your step.

with all the bitchin and complaining, one would think its the MMBA board.

wow, his third grade teacher, hmmm. I can guarantee Josh has not changed a bit since that day. If you people have nothing good to say about Josh then shut the fuck up. Seriously, since the day I met Josh he has changed immensely, so I figure he has changed quite a bit since 3rd grade. If you talk to him and know him then u know he is not a cheater, and if you have seen how he trains then you know he is the epitome of a aspiring pro cyclist. So stop beating him down to make you feel better, because it will just make him more willing to take it out on the bike. He never settles for anything but the best, so give him his props and shove your heads in you asses PLEASE!!!

Comptons right on this one, Never has interview led to so many comments. HHHMM?

Sure, it may have SEEMED like Josh had an ego during his first full year of road racing but he didn't. He just had more confidence than he did experience. That confidence is what allowed him to get the experience he needed to get where he is now. And he definitely doesn't have a hint of an ego now. Yes, there is more in his head then in his legs. But what's up there is the knowledge of bike handling, pack navigation, and race tactics. He has spent more time imparting this infromation to the new members of our Collegiate team than anyone else. Not once this spring has said anything that I could even begin to classify as egotistic.

And lets not knock collegiate racing until you've been there. I would dare say that his first 2 wins were the toughest so far. Both of those came in front of Ryan Baumann (best young rider at Tour of Virgina) and Brandon Gavic (top 10 Overall Ameteur at Superweek) among others. Having been there, Josh wasn't on a good day for either of those and still spanked Baumann by 23 seconds in 9 miles. And lets not forget that Jake was never able to double up a collegiate weekend.

Bottom line, Josh has worked his ass off for everything he has achived and deserves all of it and if fully aware that nothing is certain. So unless you want to be a man and identify yourself, just shut the fuck up!

Now that was a little harsh to say I was never able to win twice on the same weekend. I was on a team that had a few good riders that could also win races. So when they had chances of winning, why would I take that away from them?

Personally everyone I find it bad when you try to knock others down on what they have accomplished, havent accomplished, or on what they want to accomplish. What harm does it have for someone else to have a dream? We all know its not an easy sport and success on any level is earned. There aren't to many Lance Armstrongs out there who can just touch a bike and be fast.

If nobody gave me the chances I had when I was young I wouldn't be where I am today. (Not to say that Im all great, but Im 24 and am still able to race my bike around the country for most of the year) I wasn't very good as a junior, but I slowly worked my way up and there were always those few guys out there willing to give young guys like me a chance. Such as Papa Tony and Sheedy. One day I hope to do the same.

Of course everyone is free to thier own opinion, but let's try not to knock each other down for having dreams, especially hiding behind the name anonymous. If you have real concerns about someone in the way they act or preform bring it up in a constructive way.

So to everyone out there live your life the way you want and follow your dreams. It never hurts to try.

Breeze On!!!

Amen, we miss you Breezer, you may not get mentioned on here very often, but we still claim you as one of our own! were proud of you and you speak truth!

My apologies to Jake. My intent was not to knock any of your collegiate achievements. You definitely put in some great rides during your time. The track bike win in my ITT the day after riding 2 road races (13 laps total) on the 6th Street course and never say die chase of some IU guy in the OSU RR back in '03 spring to mind. Not to mention the constancy it takes to win the overall conference champs every year you were there. My point was to merely show that collegiate racing is just as hard as any summer USCF race out there with the early time frame and weather adding to the challenge. Again, sorry Snake, your record will be hard to beat! Keep kicking ass for Rite Aid.
