That is picture of a hand that had a severe chemicla burn, it was the most painfull thing we could find...as far the race goes 90 minutes would of packed those lockers full of shattered bodies, I beleieve there were at least 60+ starters and maybe half finished, the fields mixed so bad that it caused alot of confusion and riders got mixed and dropped. tough day for many.
Can anyone tell me when the winning break went off?? Did the pack catch only half of the early break or was I that tired that I didn't even see the next break take off.
Meurig, Jeff, Jason and Derek all attacked on the uphill just as the break was getting caught...perfect timing due to the "confusion" of the re-shuffle. The chasing field and remnants of the break were tired, and slowed through the chicane, and the new 4-man break were gone.
Looked like Ben Renkema and Greg Christian were itch'n to go, too, but knew better than to chase down Jason.
And we (Lathrup) were super content to have 2 guys in the break...

Saturday hurt. Seemed like lots of guys dropped, and had the race been 90 min, it might have shattered even more.
Does anyone know how many started and how many finished?
