But seriously, what the hell is a Canadian National Champion, who ranks with Graham, Card, Christian, and Rivera doing blowing out our little Cat 3 Devos race? Come on man... you're better than that.
I'm tired! My legs hurt! I feel drained of all energy! And I didn't even do well this weekend! Hills and Thrills at Kensington, 28 mph avg speed for the P1/2 in Canada, and I know I saw 35+ more then a few times at DeBaets Devos! Who knew my best finish for the weekend would come on the hilliest of courses, I guess I'm quite a climber!
I wish we had weekend after weekend of that kind of racing in TMS to keep us all in shape. Thanks to all that made this weekend great!
Let's do it again sometimes!
Thumbs up to Ben Renkema, Brian Adams, Greg Christian and Tom Archer. Thumbs down to Paolo Eugeni.
The thing is, racing could be like that every week, just won't happen if everyone stays in their home state.
Branch out, hit some races in Ohio/Indiana, I've seen the Rayster on at least one occasion in Ohio. Troy, Miamisburg, Grandview in Ohio, all less 220 miles or less from D-town, slightly more than the distance as D-town to Grand Rapids.
Riders spend the whole day at races anyway, what's a few more hours?
Like Ray wrote, the racing was hard and everyone came away with the feeling that they had competed hard.
agree, i would love to travel more, but the $ factor, family commitments sometimes limit the older riders, young guys with girlfriends seem to be a tad more portable. than draggin the whole fam damily along, there are always exceptions, but its not too easy. I agree racing hard is far more fullfilling than racing easy. IS there such a thing?, as i never seem to have it easy.

Kirk,
How about a report on Sunday and Monday??? Post it to the MCG BB.
Your break almost made it on Sunday, we were cheering for you.
Well for Vince and then for you......
MISCENERS would love to hear from such a grizzled old pro! :)
Thanks for coming up to our races!!!
Maybe it was revenge in the name of Canada for the smack down that was laid on them at the 24 hrs of Albion Hills....
and Maybe they're just lame
