Help me understand..what does USAC do for me the average Metal Head..?

let's start with: set a minimum standard for races. Such as safe courses, trained officials, appropriate road closures, medical coverage if you crash, insurance for the riders. Shall I go on?

Sho-Air Cannondale telling them to basically F-off was the tip of the iceberg. I imagine other teams will soon, as riders they sponsor cannot compete in events they want.. If I had a company and sponsoring racers and they couldnt race huge events like whiskey.. Fuck that.
Would suck a little locally.. Maybe we would have never have seen Barry Wicks hammer lumberjack on a 1x10 or Drew Edsal ride the firetower runup. Most people dont give a shit, but gives a little more cred to local races.
Minimum standard for races? Have you been to O2S, Peak to Peak, or even Ronde Van Stony? If you said yes to that then ask yourself how that compared to the last sanctioned 42-85 race you were at, or how the Tailwind attendance was compared to that unsanctioned series on the other side of the state. Thought so.

the wide open power grab is usually the storm before the end. the days of the UCI are numbered. you can only pull bs tactics for so long before you get brake checked.
