sometimes a rule maker..sometimes a rule breaker...

Rubbin' is racing and there seems to have been a bit of a kerfuffle between the old guys and the young guys at the state race on Sunday. One side of the story is here: (https://www.facebook.com/trever.kingsbury?fref=ts) and the other side hasn't commented. Regardless, if you are going to take chances when you pass, you had better be prepared for the consequences

Didn't read the facebook post or see it in person, but from the GIF there is no turns or anything, looks like he was just young and dumb, got a little too close. Maybe Incidental. Didn't look like a douche pass or intentional.

On a side not, everyone around here gets their feelings hurt if when you pass you bang elbows a little. Go somewhere where there is actually a field of more than 9 people and see what happens.

i would agree the kid is a smart ass.
But the gif image isn't clear enough to justify his total doucheness.

butthurt is an understatement to everyone's
FEELINGS

Wasn't at the race, need help. Can someone let me know who was passing and who went down? Not that it matters in the grand scheme.

explain agree

That's what happens when you get these guys
all hopped up on stuff....me personally if someone
is riding that aggressive and takes me out they
better be prepared to get their ass beat. No need
to get hurt because someone is stupid.

^its racing, sometimes shit happens.. Stay home.

^ because people are stupid.....like you

no what happens is.
people ride the first lap like its the last. and take stupid chances, and then run there mouth on some bullshit social network.
shit does happen
sometimes its best just to STFU.

i was there i seen it.
it was a bush league move.

Exactly, people being stupid like said earlier

Problem is there's no cure for stupid

You mean like everyone running their mouth on here?

"I was there i seen it"

Is English your first language?

Seems the crash while unintentional was a tad douchy early in the race. Ill rate it as douche.

The guy in black who went over the bars, picked himself up, had some words with the kid mid race, then went on the win the masters race. Classy move.

I did see the other guy get back on course and crash the kid on the stairs, which did look intentional. Kinda douchy.

Having been there and kept an eye on the entire thing, I will offer this. I don't think the take-down was intentional, but the kid pulled a douche pass. Minute 9:40 of www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTYC2qzvGlY shows plenty of room on the left to make a safe pass.

It did look like the old guy tried to get lapped, not leave the course), but I never saw him take his hands off the bars. and yes, I was watching closely after they reconnected.

What happened at the sand/stairs is debatable. The kid went wide at the turn, the old guy came inside, but I'm not sure he tried to avoid him.

Bottom line...someone definitely had his feelings hurt, but if you are going to make tight moves and take someone out, you had better be prepared for the consequences.

end of story

The young kid threw an elbow, crashing "the older guy" Thus causing Alex to crash into "the older guy". Then when Alex caught the kid he was overheard asking what was up with that, the kid replied TOUGH SHIT.

The kid needs to learn when to STFU before someone shuts him up.

Not the first time with this DOUCHE.

Standing in the pits waving his arms, like he could do anything if the “old guy” wasn’t leaving, the old man would have crushed him.

The kid was relegated from 2nd to 3rd at Bloomer in the cat3 race for cutting the course, because he couldn't pass the guy he was following all race.

He is just a Cat 3 punk, would be great if he doesn't show up on this side of the state anymore, we would all be happier and safer without the TOOL.

Kid was totally at fault, made a mistake. Rather than admit it, he runs his mouth to blame everyone else for him sucking…..

I'm the guy in black. Short story from my perspective: the kid was wrong in the initial incident. From what I saw, he got by me just fine but got nervous when he got next to the guy in front of me. He stuck his elbow out and swerved a little to his left and the two of them hit right at the elbows. The guy in front of me wasn't ready for it (because there was no need for it) and he down instantly.

It looked a lot like this, but with a little more of a swerve: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNjVcYbJ4x4

When I caught the kid, I told him he needed to learn what he was doing. He response was that the other guy swerved into him. I didn't think the takedown was intentional - but it was definitely spastic, dangerous riding. For the record, he never told me, "Tough shit."

I wish I had the chance to speak to him calmly and let him know why he was riding foolishly, but I was more concerned with trying to move forward in the race and too amped up to speak calmly. As far as I'm concerned, it's over. I'd line up with him again but would definitely stay clear once racing. I don't need sore ribs again.

First of all, don't come to TMS if you're looking for proper grammar. Check your bullshit attitude at the door.

Secondly, that kid is a little bitch and got what he got in the sand.

And quit telling people to stay home if they don't like a little rubbing. Banging elbows is one thing, but if you're a douche making a fuckhead move that causes someone to hit the deck, then you deserve an ass beating of epic proportions every time.

truth

MiCX needs an intervention.

p.s. not Tailwind's fault, they are doing a great job

If you want to put someone in the tape, make sure they are in your race... need bigger fields to justify separate classes (or larger separation). Go out and recruit more racers!!!

Alex, thanks for clearing it up and being a class act about it. No threats of beating a 16 year olds ass in the parking lot. I know the kid personally and had a hard time believing he would say tough shit. (he is usually pretty quiet) He probably was riding a little spastic and out of control. He's young, hopefully he will learn from it.
