Part 3 doping
Open your mind fools..lets take a look at Three groups of masters riders...
The First group is your dedicated masters riders..Take Waterford or Gratten race tracks out of the equation..dudes that race normally in there respected class and will occasionally step up to the 1/2 field..Randomly I have picked these guys because they have in the past been the winning the most in the past few years..
Rick Snow: Rick is a solid Michigan masters rider he has won a couple of state championships capable of riding a break..and is a solid time trial rider etc..reason why? multiple..but for the most part he is a pretty smart racer knows his strength for the most part..has probably a decent coach/advisor....a doping kinda guy..dont think sooo..
Paul Mcmullen: pretty much was the guy this past year..at one time being one of the best middle distant runners to ever have come from this state... the guy has an engine bigger than most of DCs hot rods..Doper no? the guy just has the gift...
Brian Wachlarz:..not only has he won a road race state championship..he backed it up by winning the masters 35+ at this years cross state championship...why? i think the guy knows how to train...rarely do you see him in a 1/2 race..unless its a Waterford and that is a whole nuther world..but doping HMM dont think soo..
to sum it up on these guys..they all race to there strong points..
stay with me on this....T

Hey T who was Papp supplying drugs too, he had Mi connections but unfortunately we only found out about 1, who was sanctioned. And here that guys wife was an elite level racer, but of course I'm sure she had no idea.
You maybe speaking about Ol Neal S correct?
odd thing about him was his confession. the numbers he through out did not jive with his results in any way shape or form. If he was putting out the numbers he through out while jacked up he sure as heck should of at least had batter results.
So that being said, yes he was a doper..but a poor athlete as far as his ability to sufficiently produce decent wattage.
Doping only makes you better then you would be clean, doesn't turn you pro or give big numbers and wins.
No shit...the point i was making was the numbers he supposedly was putting out would of put him near a US pro level. Now with numbers like that he should of been at least able to post a decent result in this state full of whatever. So i guess not only was he a cheat he also was a liar.
Funny you rarely hear about guys that miss the break or get 5th place getting popped for doping. So in all honesty the above statement is partially true.
In my opinion the people grumbling on this site about doping have never really seen what real doping does.
Mid pack guys have been popped so who doesn't understand doping?
RARE
Kachelberry was doped to his eyeballs
He was killing masters fields and would often top 10 1/2 races during that time. prior to that he was no where near that level.
True it does not take a donkey and make em a race horse but with a smidge of talent and decent power numbers results come.
Just saying
I love it when the word "dope" comes to this place it brings all the comments out.
How about the word "Jacked"?

So... If you win a state champ or cross over from another sport, you are not a doper?!

your missing the whole point chubby.
When people find a new training program 1 winter and come out the next year with extra gears, yeah somethings suspicious about that.
Anon 2:23 : Why? If you are training poorly, and racing the same it seems like a solid 6 months of doing the right thing could make a difference. The bonus in this state is most of the dudes are lax in their winter programs so you get double the effect right out of the gate- your own improved form, and others decreased fitness.
Amen so rightfully put
