If anyone has been around as long as me can recall this legend..
This one went through the TMS panel of Legends, Whiskey and Folk Heros. like the green apple two steps..
This Legend set the bar for soo many other promoters, that to this day rockers are still wishing they could accomplish
Many we talked to wished good old Uncle Bobby and the crew would roll up in that bagged out motor home one more time for old time sake...
From the time they set up camp during the 90's at Pontiac Lake for the first edition of the infamous hardman TT
from the time Bobby cobbled together the early pioneers of Miscene cross to head back east to see how its done..
to the final days of Springfield Oaks UCI cross..
Bobby did it right..
He brought quick scoring
the first ever of the modern day CX that started as simple flags stuck in the ground..but later listend to the riders and began taping the course in a pro like manner...
MTB time trial series.
gave newbies something cool..a series
going from local trails, to pit the hot-shoes against the ScottyQs DC and the Lil Ponys..
stage races..MTB marathon events
..and even said wtf..ill help out those arrogant bastards road guys out with scoring everything from crits to the state road races
To be fair bobby didnt do it single handed..he was a good guy and had a loyal following of great humans on hand to make that shit run well..
OH sure haters are gonna hate and even that old man T tossed around the spoon in the turd soup a few posts at a time..
But plain and simple a big black sucking hole was left when he stepped down selling it off to the hands of false passion humans..
sadly it died quietly one winter not too long ago..
But thats how legends are often made..
creating footprints some souls could never fill
Some are just too hard to say..

Dude could snore like nobody’s business...
Hahaha ain't that the truth, I could barely get any sleep before races because of his snoring. That being said, I would have never been at those races if it hadn't been for his support.
