The ride away year...

somewhat unknown  David Lombardo rolls off on the first sister 

and rides solo for the day leaving a solid chase group to pick up the scraps..

This  is also the year some lame brain in a four-up thought it was a good idea to film some guy on a phart bike doing a wheelie down the finishing stretch while the 62-mile group sprints for second...thus nearly killing  Big Bird, next years winner RudyP and the Evil-Dude in the process
