THE FINAL CX POWER RANKINGS

September 2019

Dropping in at #10.
Those morning Cranks fellas all that show up and support the scene of cross..
This is what TMS has been missing..enthusiasm and a sense of style goes a along way..
#9. Jeramy Duffeld..
The Bissell guy that know one really knows..40 seconds off the Pony at the opening round in Alma and the willingness to travel outside the state to seek the truth...

#8. Chad Wells
This guy has quietly been around the CX scene for years.. since the days of the WIZ and Sven..good to see him show up this fall..a solid ride at Alma cemented him into the top 10 this month...

#7.JB Hancock/Alma GP
Well..whatta ya think was it all it was hyped up to be? did the barriers inside the tent work?..is it worth lettin up the grip for a Alma Skinsuit?? or should he throttle it back and maybe spread al lil jelly  and throw another CX party later in the season it would be crying shame for not including ol JB in the list..

#6. Nate Williams
The multi State champion of various disciplines Now father of two a working man..traveling to Wisco and Hittin up the local scene..hes not a young dude anymore..but with the numbers he probably puts out more than anyone on this list  and maybe with a little fine tuning on the skills he he may have a solid shot come December ..Nate just misses the top 5 this month..

#5. Brian Walcharz
a bald guy with a beard..and the most solid 45 plus guy next to the Pony..Brian pretty much place with the rest of the field when....
#4. Tim Saari is not around.......two weekends and 3 wins give the underdog the last step on the podium ..last weekend after suffering a mechanical he out the most often un-beatable Scotty A I dont want to say..hes not but some say he's a legend..others say hes the guy thats always going to be the bridesmaid..Tim once drove out of state to seek the truth..and was one his way to the next level of the old man world..is this the year?..only time will tell

#3. Judah G..
This kid reminds me of my days of yore..back before my butt got too big to bunny hop..I like this kid cuz he is young and consistent.. we would a loved to see him Wisco...hope he sticks around until the weather turns crummy

#2. The illest Pony
the Oldest of the Old guard He might not make it on Novembers list..but a podium in Wisconsin, along with other solid rides this past weekend..keeps the Pony on this podium..

#1. Sam Junge..
UCI points might be a stretch for Sam, but the sheer fact that he's out there flying the flag..I gotta believe the quest for points might be closer to his reach if he ditches the single-speed thing and focuses on the gears...right now Sam you rock!

 October..

10..The AAVC
huge props for the club at holding the CX stuff at a grass roots level...

9. brings us..The Gooch..or better known as the invisible man..
one of two or three seeking the truth outside the state Gooch as has been travling to the depth harder old man stuff and with a few solid rides at Cincy..and the CX cup has him riding better than ever..only a few guys have kept him from bringing the truth syrup home here in the Michigan

8. this month..those Morning Cranks fellas move up 2 on the list with good fun lovin solid showings  all month

7. We got..Chris Uberti..professional cyclist two time State crit champion..former World Crit champion.. He doesnt do to shabby on grass either..

6. The lone Wheelmen..
once a long time ago in a scene that was quite different than most off all you have come to know..The Maumee Valley Wheelman a strong cycling club from just south of the border would come into the scene cocked locked and semi loaded filling many classes both on the road and in the fall at CX races..
well that changed as as dudes and gals aged out..some got old..some got tired..some quit and many others just got fat.....since then one or two or sometimes three riders have attempted to keep the glory days alive..the strongest as of lately is actually a Michigan guy but wears the colors of the once glorious MVW crew...a guy more befitting to the cover Mens health Ed Allweis has been a serous pain in the ass as well as the other also rans..and hasn't been far off the other second fastest old guy..If Ed can hold it together until December he just might spoil Simon's plans

5. Brian Walcharz..
the fastest master,,cept for Saari..cept for the Pony..and cepts for..??
BW has held pretty solid since Alma..wonder what the next 3 weeks hold for him or when or if the those other two guys decide to race there age at states...

4. The fastest guy to never travel out of State is Simon Bailey
...Lil Simon as he once formerly called..can still bang bars with the best of them..for a guy that never sought the truth..he is still capable of solid rides..Most dont know he along with about 5 other riders are the last of the old guard..Simon has been rolling solid since the first of the CX season with good rides on everything dirt n gravel

3.  Melissa Seymour..
Right now the fastest CX gal in the state has done some traveling and and even posted a solid ride at ICEDream..Nice to see as its something the scene lacks..

fast chix...
2.JUNGE..or whichever he decides to go by dropped to the number two spot for October..the racingest kid in the Midwest has been on the eastern seaboard campaign since late September..The Kid with all funds in the world has slowly stayed on the lead lap of many hard ass shit..not since the golden years of the early pioneers of truth seekers has there been a guy willing to get gutted and cut up week after week..the only thing that kept him from holding his top spot in October was..

1.the Ill-est Pony
ups his spot this month to the top position..with strong rides in Cincy and a second place overall at Vets park had the pony looking like a 30 year old despite the fact he is old enough to be that Junge kids pappa..

Your final worthless TM CX power ranks over for 2019

10. Nick Stanko

That freakie fast runner guy from AAVC ..sometimes genetics alone dont mean power and wins..Nick got on the podium though when it counted the most..being  a very cool guy helps too!!

9. JB Hancock

Alma GP..nuff said..none love s cross more than JB
still wouldnt mind seeing it moved a little further back on the schedule to keep the vibe alive longer than September 31st..but we still respect him

8. The Gooch..

no podiums
but guy got better all fall. racing hard stuff and holding solid all then way to a top 10 in Chicago
he must of been doing somethin right...

nuff said

7. Jeremy Duffield

The scourge of the 35+ class...
capped off this season with a near top 10 in Chicago in the 1/2/3 field..

6. Lil Pony...

Jeff had quite a fall stood on a pile of hard podiums, and stuck around alot longer then usual
a hic-up near the end shut the pony down for 2019 but till then he was haulin ass

5.Melissa Seymour..

yep the Base Media gal..she pretty much uncontested all fall poduims too many to count.....and he she rode not too shabby when she traveled..too..

4.Simon Bailey...

dips into the top five for The Final overall back to back State Championships and solid ass rides virtually all autumn has him as the most consistent rider too..

3.Timmy Saari

man...if Timmy doesn't ever get it there is no justice to the scene..
there we said it...We sure hope he sticks around next year to get another shot at more elite wins

2. The Young fella Named Junge

man gotta gives man the universal nod of Jeremiah Johnson approval...This kid lead the CX life most folks only dream about and now with a road trip across the country to nationals has us glued to the live feed come Sunday afternoon
its got T jealous

1. Undoubtedly The Roadking..

dont even try to fight us on this one..
out of the silence..out of the void...out of the darkness...
yea not really but dam fools..Tommy is writing the book..hope you all are takin notes...
all his state titles aside..(hell we could do a friday 15 alone on him) Tom has set a pretty impressive program for cross..
pick a few events here and there early in the season..combine good genetics..add in a solid head for training..not to mention years of hard work...and then while most have ran around crazy week after week doing this and doing that...
he comes with  a fresh head and motivated early November..
not chink could of been found in his armor..

some times it aint all about quantity

Have a nice winter folks
