Oy vey...

 TMS....

Hats off to the umpteen entities involved in putting on a 2020 ‘Cross State Championship. Nice to see someone still care. Hopefully, there will be some racers who care to show up.

Doesn’t matter, without much other racing, there will be an asterisk next to the results anyway.
Not much this year really counts.

So in a year of years, I guess it makes sense we’d get one of the craziest flyers we’ve seen in a while. Talk about bang for your buck, they must have used an entire ink cartridge on this thing. Confusing is putting it lightly.

 It’s presented by

but hosted by

Who is Cross Hastings and where do they fit in?

Because at the end of the line, you’re cutting a check to

Weird.

 How about the schedule?

At first glance, it looks like the racing stops at 11:00. But what about the Elite classes? Keep scrolling after the page break. The Elite Men’s and Women’s races are listed as P/1/2/3/4/5.

WTF???

So everybody is Elite now?
Well, not so fast, because starting at the same time are the “Expert” 3/4/5.
I thought this was a USACycling event, what happened to USAC categories?
So as a Category 5,

I’ve never raced a bike a day in my life...............

I can choose to race in five different events.

Confusing to say the least.

Let’s talk turkey. Kudos to Ace Hardware for fronting the cash purses.

Shame on someone for allowing the same amount to be paid to the Sport class over fewer riders.

I’d be pissed if I was a money making Elite, that’s just not right. And with a combined start and purse, does this mean an “Expert” could steal my Elite lunch money??? And when did we start doing “premes” in ‘cross races? This ain’t no crit, save that for dudes willing to go to the hospital.

Maybe they meant that Puerto Rican dude on Spotify.

Oy vey...

But wait, there’s more! More fine print than a standard 30 year mortgage including two sections of race notes and registration. By this point, I have a migraine and will probably need a new eye-wear prescription.

I hate this flyer and like all things 2020, they should have just pressed Control-Alt-Delete.
