"That course sucked". Translation: "I suck on that course, but want to blame my failure on something other than myself". A crappy performance in a bike race is still more fun than most of the other things I have to do during the week. If it's such drudgery, why are you racing? Be glad we have promoters who are willing to put on a races, folks who are willing to help set up a course. Without them you'd be traveling farther to race or doing dirt crits someplace.
Deal with it, no one is forcing you to race. Learn some skills, work on your running. Cross is hard.
Thinking about going to Nats? Get used to running.
Here's a thanks to the endless and rather thankless job the race promoters do in this state.

There is nothing wrong with turns, I just don't like sand but that's my fault I set it up that way.

I think we should go back to having at least 50% singletrack in the course. Then we could call it Jungle Cross. YEAH!!!

People set up courses, racers race courses. Why complain?
You know, promoters don't have to do it (they're not getting rich off it) and you don't have to race (unless your under contract) which your not.
Wow, now I know why TMS quit cross coverage last year.
