all outta nothin

There ain't enuff coffee in the world..
enuf hours in the day
and enuff love to keep folks from buying the next new thing...
but there sure as hell enuff booze to drink that gal pretty that is always hangin out by that shady sports pub down the street...

there i said it..
I felt kinda bad for tellin that old bastard he had to wait till next Tuesday to talk bout his opinions and shit about what he thinks is cool n and all that shit..but i felt kinda compelled to post my opinions on this whole dopin shit that just went down...
I dunno exactly how i feel..all sorts of silly emotions...some neutral..some joy..and the biggest pie shape triangle wedge in Ts grey matter is all out of ghal darn sadness...and one missin emotion...

Neutral: neutral in the fact that oh well fuck it just some other fool willin to roll the dice for braggin rights among the pissin circle of his tribe...he gave it shot and he came up on the losin end in the eyes that call the shots..of sorts

joy:..joy in the way your USAC grip is goin to somethin...
that is unless you are on the otherside like those two chumps..Jeff Wood, Jeremy Merz....cuz looks to be in there eyes its a waste of valuable time and money to go after some bumb over 50 racin for beer money...Im Joyfull in the simple way that those USAC dollars are going to somethin...plain and simple..but the joy that most people are probably for me is over shadowed by pure sadness...

Sadness:..yup plain ol everyday emotion.......... of sadness....
sadness that these chumps put soo much self worth in such a dam silly aspect of this big grey world....
sadness that folks cant stop chasin ghosts...i aint sayin its wrong to chase ghosts.T knows em quite well..but to cheat to get close to one is just sickening...

but folks say..."cheatin is just a away of life..whether is bike racing or four square"

I get it...people are all hardwired in a certain way whether your wired to beat the bishop 3 times a day, or buy some stuff to make you look 10 feet tall to the local hotshots...

never try to understand humans...

Well said T. I’m one of those old dudes racing. I want lots of testing to go on. Let’s keep the cheaters at bay and keep the snark talk away. If I am lucky enough to get a result I don’t want to hear anything about how I might be dirty.

I feel like at the masters amateur level they shouldn't be testing for weed, cocaine and shit like that. Those are recreational drugs that can get you popped like Webb and many folks are ripping bowls on the way to the line. I find it hard to believe it gives you a real advantage but would certainly be a reason for someone to refuse a test. Smoke weed everyday -Snoop

THC is performance enhancing as it improves pain tolerance at the bare minimum. The list was created by scientists and not subject to what some dude named "Matt" thinks about it. I could care less if people smoke dope, take T or EPO etc. Just don't race while doing it.

Matt said...

Seeing as how THC has a half life up to a month or more it is pretty ridiculous. You could test positive for something that is not affecting you at all during the race. Yeah, yeah I know it improves pain tolerance, it's a marginal gain at the very least though. Are you getting beat because someone is a dope smoker..doubt it. Bike racing is already dying in our area because there aren't enough racers. Now they are keeping even more people from lining up because of testing for drugs that most likely won't help them make it on the podium. Just so we're clear, people taking T, EPO, blood doping should be outed but we shouldn't be busting masters amateurs who smoked a joint or took an allergy medicine. Stop hiding behind anonymous comments.

I’ll go in the record, anonymously of course, as stating I’m ok losing the racers who are substance abusers. Nothing against them or their lifestyle but I don’t want to be going into a corner or railing a trail with some Bro who may be under the influence. And Webb wasn’t hiding his pot smoking.

Anonymous said...

I often drink a gallon of wine the night before a race have for years.

Had some stellar rides doing so.

Anonymous said...

Yep lining up hung over is no problem but get high while watching Trailer Park Boys a week before and you're gonna be trouble

Webb is a convicted doper. Fucking awesome. The THC, cocaine and alcohol talk all has it's place, but all of that means nothing to me right now. Fuck that fucking cheater. I betcha he don't feel 10 feet tall right now.

There are 2 lists that make up the rules in play here. One of stuff you can take out of competition, and one of stuff you cannot take while in competition. When you sign your name online for the license you agree to play by those rules. And you also agree that you have to take the piss or give some blood if USADA asks. It's all pretty fucking straight forward, and not a god damn secret. If you don't like the rules don't by a license. When you refuse to give a sample it means by definition you are a guilty doping little bitch. End of story.

Anyone who thinks a 57 year old dude, no matter who he is can beat every amateur racer by a large margin not just once but 3 fucking times is high themselves. It wasn't thc that caused him to skip the test. It's the fact that if he peed in that cup, the cup could have won the race. There is no doubt he was on something even before this happened.

Matt said...

Sorry if it sounds like I'm implying he was smoking dope. From the sounds of it that guy was glowing from whatever cocktail he was taking. Honestly I kind of just poking the bear and seeing if he get's angry.

I like anonymous, he has the best comments and understanding of the issues without concern that it may cause some to retreat to their safe spaces. A marginal gain is a gain, if you don't like it then don't race-end of discussion.

Matt - the comments and thoughts on recreational drug use have been debated over and over here and in much more important venues. And I guess since it is still being bantered about, it is not fully dealt with. Hell, WADA is taking a look at caffeine again this year. Imagine the shit show if they our coffee back in the list and all of the coffee bros start whining about how much Starbucks they can down pre-race.
Many of us take racing pretty seriously. Probably too seriously, but that’s what we do. And a lot of us have had it with Webb and his enablers. I frankly don’t want to hear anything else about the dude other than he is a doping douche bag. So I know you may be stirring the pot a little, but also understand many of us have reached the red zone on all of the nonsense and have very little patience for anything that seems as not addressing the isssue at hand - Webb is a convicted doping cheat. He’s a dirty racer and I feel for all of the dudes who busted their asses and finished 2nd, 3rd or worse 4th to his glowing self.

Anonymous said...

Who were his enablers? That's the big question, where was he getting it?
This same issue came up with Schubel. Schubel wasn't on the WADA radar because he
was buying small amounts for him and his wife, he was obviously buying large quantities and supplying to others. There's definitely a few suspected back in the day of making large gains....12 weeks of terror comes to mind. People also just sort of disappeared from the scene.

Anonymous said...

People disappearing from the season shouldn't be a sign of doping. Bike racing isn't an easy sport and riders that stick around for years, let alone decades, are the exception, not the norm.
That being said, Webb has some pretty easy access to the good stuff. His wife and good buddy Dr. Pain are both in the medical field, if I was a betting man in addition to the fact he knew he was glowing he skipped that test to protect someone like that. Not that I would ever imply it was one of them, because that wouldn't be right.
Now the real shit is his buddies that still think he is some sort of cycling god after all of this. Some of those TC baddies/Hagerty boys are still stroking Webb's ego. Heck, his buddy Paul Olson and some wanker that goes by Vin Dog Mack were making comments on Strava about taking their vitamins and bringing over some stuff(the joke is it was venison) just a week ago in regards to a ride Paul did with Webb. No offense to anyone involved, but if anyone under the age of 40 is still on Hagerty next year they are an idiot, and if DH, SA, PO, and the rest think we'll ever believe their exceptional rides again they may want to pack it up now.
Hey Webb, if you're reading this get lost. You might just be vain enough to read your own hate mail.

That’s a spot on post. Fuck all of the old haggerty guys. They are all pretty much ass holes.

Anonymous said...

There was an old hagerty dude who finished with wakeley at the last fat bike race up there. Doesn't look suspicious at all...

Anonymous said...

I like when 4 or five old Hagerty dudes jumped in the M22 a few years back and paced one of there riders for 1/2 the course and then peeled off a few miles before the end.

Your kidding yourself if you think its not the Dirty Old mens club up there!

YES.

Matt said...

Anon 9:13 I guess I hadn't seen that debated before but after being pretty serious about racing for many years I dropped out and focused on other things for a while. Now I'm just a fat, slow guy who likes to cheer on the old guys that are doing it clean, i.e. Wolowiec, Foshag and all the other fast old guys. Can promoters black ball people who are supporting this cheat? Also, if venison is the secret to great rides, I sell venison pasties but I'm not going to guarantee a podium spot.

Anonymous said...

the Dirty Old mens club

funny how they dont come down state and go up against clean fast old men like Foshag, Hess, Swatloski..etc..

Henrietta Collins said...

Perfect, can't argue with this

😂The cup would have won the race😂

Webbcorp. What sort of douche-canoe adds corp to their name? Wait, I guess we know. Anyway, bring on more testing and out the lot of them.

If you fuckers rode your bikes as much as you bitch about someone doping you'd probably be half assed fast. The dude fucked up, get over it.

Henrietta Collins said...

Who says we don't? We can bitch about whatever the fuck we want to bitch about. Get over that.

Average joe said...

The results say you don't, Henrietta...

I'll post as anon in 10 seconds, I won't create an unknown username just to make a post calling people pathetic for posting. Maybe if you rode your bike as much as you trolled you wouldn't feel so insignificant.

Anonymous said...

AMEN.

Anonymous said...

Unknown 4:02 - go fuck yourself you doper enabler. I do ride a fucking lot and sometimes I ride pretty fast. And sometimes I bitch. I'll trend to getting over it when he makes a public apology for screwing up and lawyering up. Until then fuck off to him and equally as much to your pathetic enabling self. You make me sick

A mistake is grabbing Pert instead of Head & Shoulders at the grocery store. Jamming a needle deep into your veins and pushing EPO into your system so you can push on your pedals harder is much bigger than a mistake.

Anonymous said...

Kolo TC is strangely quiet about this. Must be buddies with the doper. Credibility now zero.

Anonymous said...

January 27, 8:13 AM Kolo TC posted on it. Probably took balls to call out the "hometown hero" turned doper in his hometown.

Didn’t did not see them at cherry Roubaix...turns out the roads are in better shape up north than the D. Too bad there aren’t any road races.

Anonymous said...

It was venison and blueberries bro, not vitamins. Get your strava trolling facts straight. Up north we have deer and amazing fruit. You should try it and ride your bike a little more and maybe you wouldn’t get dropped.

Were you at the race?..didn’t think so.. it was a crit race on snow. Not wakeley’s Specialty. No hills at all. Do you think every guy over 40 that is fast in on something?
