Two of my favorite words are “pavement ends”. I rode by that sign the other day on my gravel bike and immediately broke into a spontaneous grin, feeling the rush of warm wind flowing over my cheeks. I, like so many of you out there, find an enormous amount of joy simply by swinging a leg over the saddle and clipping in for the journey – some known and and some an unfolding mystery. Thankfully, we all still have that. What we don't have are the normal array of events and races that make up such an important part of our collective cycling experience.
So it is with the Arcadia Grit & Gravel, cancelled this spring and now with the Peak2Peak, which was scheduled for October 24 this fall. There are so many deal-breakers for this event that it would be pointless to list them all; however, the main issue preventing the 15th year of this epic event is the risk to everyone's health and safety.
The racing season may have been lost in 2020 but we at Endoman Promotions expect to have a crazy-good year in 2021! Those two events will be back and stronger than ever – please mark your calendars for May 15, 2021 and October 23, 2021 and we'll have ourselves a time – once again! Thanks for your support.
Tad Peacock,
Race Director
