Tebutdzhe is a dagger made of shark teeth, common among the inhabitants of the Gilbert Islands (currently belong to the state of Kiribati). The weapon was a dagger, the cutting edge of which was formed from shark teeth fixed on the base with coconut fibers or human hair. Due to the design features, the tebutdzhe was exclusively a weapon for killing, not for hunting. The weapon left deep lacerations on the body, and it often happened that poorly fixed shark teeth stuck in the body after impact.
