Two Great Days of racing? Did you check out those Friday night sprints? Renkaman vs Hess. These guys up north know how to throw a party!

Why did the Cat 3 lead official allow their race to integrate with the masters 35+ race with 500 meters to go?
It was a freaking gong show.

Anonymous said...

what; is the lure of PBR?

fuckin "A"

in college we only bought that shit when quality dairy was out of Goebels or Falstaff......

Anonymous said...

why did the Cat 3's allow themselves to get passed by the old men in the first place.

Hey CAT 3's RIDE YOUR FUCKING BIKES FASTER

Screw the 3's. What a bunch of wankers. They got 7 minutes taken out of them, in just over 2 laps, by the old dudes. Then they decide to partially overtake the same old dudes right before the finish. That's embarassing and stupid all thrown into one mess. I know you are just 3's and need to learn, but here are a couple tips:

- Ride faster
- Don't overtake other fields right before the finish
- If you start a sprint then finish it
- If you are sprinting then hold your line

Screw it, while I am offering up advice here is some more:

To the chief official in the cat 3 lead car, maybe it wasn't such a great idea to let that group merge with another right before the finish. If I understand correctly, you slowed the 3's down and moved them over to let a masters break of 3 riders go by. If that is true, or even if it is not, use your power to neutralize them for 1:00

To the scorer/ promoter:

It was a great event. I love the road race venue. I know it was a total mess with 2 fields finishing at the same time, but 1:45 to get the results posted may be a tad too long.

the mess with the masters 35's and 3's mixing was ridiculous. Were the 3's out for a club ride? They lost 7 min in like 30 miles, they should all be downgraded.

and the lead car stopped the 3's to let the 35's break go by, but then let them ride b4 the 35 filed got by them, so the field had to wait to pass. not cool.

also: bring back the hill top finish. It sucks to have a hardmans course decided in a big ass field sprint, downhill tailwind scenario with the 3's ready to crash the whole thing. plus its a lot easier to sort out results in a hill top finish.

other than that the course is killer though, a good mix of terrain worthy of the state champs.

I am better suited to the current sprint type finish, but I 2nd the motion to bring back the hill top finish. Also, if the 3's just want to club ride it, I say take their cash and spread it around. Let's hook up some juniors and maybe kick even a little more to the women.

Anonymous said...

or at least have some type of more challenging finish. It doesn't have to be up the ski hill but some type of hill would be more suiting to the race

Anonymous said...

I would agree the 100mph 56/11 finish is great for spectators, but bad for racers. other than that i loved the course and will go back no matter what..
